Guest guest
Tomorrow is my first day of the program. What helped you to stay motivated? I know the first few weeks will be the hardest, I just need to get past that point so that it is just my lifestyle. Please share your feedback......... Guest guest
Well I appreciate the positive posts I received on my lack of willpower on the weekends. I figured everyone would just tell me to try harder, that I just don't want it enough to make it work. I believe I do give in too easily and I should push myself through those tempting times, but it was nice to hear that some of you suffer similar problems. I too have kids, 2 sons, 10 yrs, and 16 yrs. I will not deprive them from BAD foods. They do eat healthy a lot of the time, and understand the benefits of eating well, and working out, but they do get cookies and cakes in moderation. So it does make it tough when I do have some bad foods in the house for them. I try to buy everything in peanut butter or chocolate flavors because I don't care for those flavors in junk foods. LOL!! I don't start my free day until Friday evening and it continues on until Saturday night, so I guess I'm not doing too bad. I usually have a good Sunday. I'm sure I'll do fine. It means a lot to me and I'm just being too harsh on myself. Thanks again for your support! SHEL **************Start the year off right. Guest guest
I get up at my normal time on Saturday, and do my normal routine, with the exception that the gym opens later so I¹m running about an hour later. I use that time to catch up on email, my webpage, do the bills etc. Then I have a normal breakfast and probably a normal snack. Then at noon I either have a BFL lunch or not, but after that it¹s a free for all until noon on Sunday. Then I¹m making the food for the next week, taking care of chores etc. Now if I had events going on both days of the weekend, it would require a little better planning, but when I¹m just hanging out, that works. It helps if your friends are into some sort of healthy thing as well. I hang out with triathletes. You always get good portions, clean food when hanging out with those guys. They even took it easy New Year¹s Eve since they were running to the top of Mt. Diablo the next day. So I ended up in pretty good shape the next day too. > Alright!
