Well, I did the big scary....posted my before pics

This is extremely hard for me. Somehow I had convinced myself that I

wasn't THAT big. I mean, not as big as that girl over there...

Well, the camera doesn't lie. I AM the girl over there.

When I met my fiance Mark, I was about 158lbs. That is not skinny by

any means, but I still felt sexy. I've always had the hourglass type

figure. When I had my daughter, I added to it, lost it, added, lost

etc.. Well, in the course of 9 months I gained about 23lbs and I

don't feel sexy anymore. I used to think It didn't help that Mark's

mom is a personal trainer, but she has actually been awesome at

reinforcing our new eating and excercise program(BFL). I used to be

jealous of her, not in a mean-

spirited way. I just always thought that she must secretly believe

her son could do better than a fat lump like me.

Mark is also 12 years younger than me, so even though I know he loves

me no matter what, I still feel like he deserves someone young at

heart at least. Which is how I used to be before the weight gain.

Mark is a dream. Sometimes I think he must be from outer space. I

always did have a thing for Starman... Anyhow, he is really

supportive and agreed to participate. He has his own specific goaals

so I dont feel like he's eating cottage cheese every day and lugging

himself in the morning to the gym just because of me.

So, that is a little more background for me. I added the pics to

ensure my accountability. Thanks for being there!

how nice that you're doing BFL together :-) i bet that makes the journey even

sweeter!

Good job on posting your pics Marisol! I haven't posted my pictures,

I just haven't been able to. It's tough going to a class at the gym

and being the biggest, reddest faced girl in the room. (In all

fairness, even when I was in the Army and was super fit, I still got

all red faced when I exercised!) So I can understand your hesitation.

I am looking forward to seeing your results and hearing how it goes

for you both.

Thanks Neca. I am Puerto Rican and Irish, and when I work out my face gets

really red too. Which looks kinda weird on a girl with my skin tone! haha
