Guest guest
Donna, great workout! I hope you can get your back problems resolved soon. I know how frustrating it is to be grumpy from being sore. -----Original Message----- From: exercisevideos I got alot done this morning. I started with T-Tapp Basic sequence to warm-up. Then I did Cardio X - minus the core stuff. Then, I added on Core Synergistics minus the warm-up and the bonus round. I enjoyed both Cardio X and CS - Cardio X isn't very tough, but you do get your HR up with the Kenpo and Plyo sections. And, CS is always a challenge on some level. Today I didn't feel strong at all in the push-up area and often stopped a few seconds short of Tony and the Kids. But, I'm wondering if that is pre-fatigue from doing Cardio X first. Anyway, I feel pretty good and hope to add in some extra stretching and/or gentle yoga tonight. My back is a stiff mess. I'm thinking of ordering the Sacro Wedge from Amazon - in reading the info on the website, I think it is my psoas that is causing the problem. I don't think it is sciatica or piriformis syndrome as I really don't have pain in my butt and my leg isn't affected. It is sort of my low/mid back on the left side and the left hip that is is messed up (I can tell when laying flat, that my left hip is not even with my right...). Nothing I'm doing seems to be fixing it - T-Tapp helped a bit, but it only went so far. The Miracle Balls helped a bit, but only went so far. Yoga helps a bit, but only goes so far. I'm thinking the sacro wedge may be my last home-remedy resort before I try medical attention - it is very annoying and makes me grumpy so I want to fix it. I'm not sure, if I go the medical route if I should try a chiro, a medical doctor or a physical therapist. I think it is muscular more than anything else that is pulling everything out of alignment. Sorry to ramble on! Take care, Donna No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. Guest guest
Wow, two tonys today! Donna, have you considered a deep tissue massage for your back? You exercise so much, maybe there's a tight knot somewhere in there? I have a dvd called Yoga Back Basics that I'm not using. Would you like it? I've never done it and it looks easy, but maybe long, slow and thorough woud be good for it? Hugs Sent via BlackBerry from T-Mobile
Guest guest
Hi , Thanks, I hadn't thought about the deep tissue massage. I do have a big knot in there - I can feel it on my left side lower/middle back - I think that came from carrying DD so much - I'm a leftie and alwasy carried her on my left side. Then, there is something either related or unrelated going on with my hip - it is just " out " . I think what I have to do is MAKE TIME to lay on the miracle ball for up to 15 minutes a session at least once or twice a day. I think the ball will work in a way similar to the sacro wedge thing, I may also try massage on the muscle I can feel. Maybe grinding some tennis balls in there would work! And, thanks for the offer of the workout - You know me, I'll never decline! LOL! (which should be more concentrated and harder than the petrone balls, i would think). i also wonder about the foam roller for you. but geeze, i know it is frustrating to buy all of this equipment and videos and not have them clear up the problem. ::sigh:: :*carolyn. Guest guest
Maybe a combination of deep tissue massage and then a chiropractic adjustment (since the body will be so relaxed it will be easy to make the adjustment)? (who needs both herself) Re: Thursday - T-Tapp, Cardio X, Core Synergistics Hi ,Thanks, I hadn't thought about the deep tissuemassage.
