I think most people have trouble sleeping after vigorous exercise. You are sort of sending mixed messages to your body -- getting it all cranked up and then trying to calm down. Two hours would be less of a problem than one (in my experience). I used to mountain bike ride with a group of women every Thursday evening. I wouldn't sleep all night Dana ---------------------------------------------------------------- This message was sent using IMP, the Internet Messaging Program. Guest guest
Wait about 2 hours after a meal to do cardio. If you wait much longer than that, you'll get too hungry to wait the hour afterward. If you do it much sooner than that, you'll be more prone to nausea and side stitches. Vigorous exercise right before bed does tend to amp you up and keep you awake. Try it and see how it goes. If you've got a couple hours to eat something and unwind, you may get sleepy and be fine with it. > Hi Ladies, > > I have a question about cardio. Guest guest
I can't sleep if I do my cardio in the evening. Keeps me up for hours. Best Regards, beth Cardio in the evenings? Hi Ladies, I have a question about cardio. I am going to have to do my cardio in the evenings and I wanted to be sure on the timing of meals. I know you should wait one hour after cardio to eat. But, before cardio, do I wait 2 or 3 hours after my last meal to do cardio? Also, has anyone had experience as to whether cardio interupts sleep if done an hour or two before bed? Thanks so much!
