I'll share a yoga stretch that my yoga teacher

(took 8 classes from her over 3 years!) shared

with us for stretching out the gluteus muscles.

It's a good one for a tight or sore butt area.

Dragon Pose modification, or Pigeon Pose

(Variation of Runner's Lunge):

http://www.yogajournal.com/poses/863

also here, as the " Supported Pigeon Pose " :

http://www.yogacards.com/yoga-postures-2/kapotasana-pigeon-pose.html

My description: Sit on the floor. Lay one leg straight

behind you like the tail of a dragon, top of foot on

floor, sole of foot up toward ceiling. Your other leg,

forward like an arrow laying on the ground, with the knee

as the arrow tip, leg folded sideways, and forward leg's

foot is by your opposite hip. Lean forward over bent leg.

Great to stretch the butt muscles. Please take slowly,

I'm concerned for your S/I area!!
