Guest guest
After P90 Sweat 3-4 I was feeling the need for more cardio. I decided on Larry Lam's XKO Kickboxing (2 vhs set, I just did the cardio tape). The beginner and "advanced" workouts combined come to around a half hour, maybe a little longer. I remember why I liked this one. Larry cues very well, the class is full of beautiful people (think Kest's crew here only in kb gear), the music is good, and while basic you do get a good sweat going! Larry Lam is like the Rodney Yee of kickboxing and has a similar look and physique. I used weighted gloves because the choreography is pretty simple, though at the end of the advanced workout there is a "burn" section where you do tons of fast punches, so I took them off for that section for safety reasons. I didn't do tape 2, but it's one that Debbie Siebers would like because with a chair you do all kinds of slow kicks and standing leg work. I would rate this as advanced beginner / lower intermediate. Great when you want to sweat and not think too much. Hup hup!
