Guest guest
http://www.treatingautismconferences.com/p2pconference.htm This is now booking so if you haven't secured your places please do so as soon as possible. Really - madness for TA to waste too much money on marketing if you're coming anyway and haven't yet booked! Should be a great day, 2 practitioners talking plus three detailed parents stories from parents at different stages and plenty of chance to meet everyone, ask as many questions as you have and generally recharge those biomedical batteries. Guildford is not very far from London - 33 minutes by train, one hour on the coach and goodness knows by car and the conference is at the University. A busy and informative day and there is always the possibility that we will close proceedings in one of Guildford's excellent hostelries. Full programme is 8.30am Registration & Coffee 9.00 am Introduction and Montage - Treating Autism Team 9.30 am Why Biomedical - Brief overview of 4 Key Issues Treating Autism Team 10.00am Parent Story 1 10.30am Questions 10.45 am Coffee 11.00am Environmental Toxins & Their Role in Developmental Disorders - Shattock 12.00pm Questions 12.20pm LUNCH 1.30 pm Jon Tommey - Practitioner Role 2.30 pm Question Time 2.45pm Tea 3.30pm Parent Story 2 4.30pm Parent Story 3 5.30pm Panel 5.45pm Close 6.00pm - 6.30 pm Treating Autism AGM - Members Only
Guest guest
, Are by any chance the person taking registration? I'm having all sorts of internet problems and I'm not sure if I registered or not--no confirmation came up after, but my computer zonked out too. I don't want to do it twice, just in case. Thanks, Anita > > http://www.treatingautismconferences.com/p2pconference.htm >

Guest guest
Dear Caroline, Steph did write to say she would check into it, but it looks like I didn't register from what you say. I don't have any cheques yet, but I will by the weekend. I'll send my cheque in then and register in the meantime, keeping my fingers crossed that the internet works for more than 5 minutes at a time :-) Just settled my oldest son in at school this morning. In spite of two prior visits made by dh they had no idea ds was coming. Schooling is so very different here than in Canada and my oldest son is so shy, I was furious when I found out that rather than being warmly welcomed yesterday, he was told they'd never heard of him and sent to spend a big part of the day in the library by himself. After my phone call last night though, we received a great deal of attention today, of course part of that was because I had to bring Kolja to the meeting, who was a perfect doll, but did cause a bit of a stir :-) My daughter is completely at home already (as I knew she would be) asking me if I think she already has a British accent. Our things arrive Friday and I feel confident that we'll be well settled by the end of the weekend. I can even drive now without having a panic attack, at least around our little area. I am so very excited to meet everyone who will be at the conference. What a wonderful opportunity for me :-) A chance to learn and be with you and my other friends. Such perfect timing and something to look forward to. Many, many thanks for helping to organize it. Guest guest
Dear Caroline, Thanks for your kind thoughts :-) In a week or so, I'm going to create a file on kombucha and kefir for people to read at their leisure. That way the info will stay with the list and be easily accessible. I could even bring some kombucha babies to the conference if anyone is interested, so people could start their own (if I get organized enough that is!). I did end up writing a summary for Kolja, which I've posted below. It isn't full of detail, but I thought it might be helpful to someone. I'd be most interested in reading any summaries other people (including you!) might write. Fondly, Anita Kolja regressed noticeably just before his second birthday when he received many vaccinations, including ones with mercury, while on antibiotics; although in retrospect I realized that his problems actually started earlier, when he received his MMR while still recovering from chicken pox. Had we kept all the gains we'd made with Kolja in the last nearly three years, he'd be a very different little boy; however, Kolja has regressed many times since we started biomedical treatments just two months after his first regression. We have just started sequential homeopathy with the Houston Group. Too soon to say much about what is happening, although there are some promising signs and we are hopeful it will address viruses. I plan to continue chelating with ALA and restart HBOT although the homeopath thinks both are unnecessary and doesn't want me to. We continue to supplement Kolja heavily as without them he falls apart completely. CHELATION (about 80 rounds of AC protocol have given receptive language gains and improved health, using DMSA and ALA. We've seen some huge metals dumps and tests have shown Kolja to be highly metal toxic)) HBOT 80 dives at 1.5 and 1.75 ATA (hugely improved sleep, bms, mood, eye contact. Language started coming back. All these things were lost though almost as soon as we finished) DIETS: GFCF (done three times, the first time we saw stunning improvements that were all lost. Next two times no improvements at all.) SCD and LOD (no improvements only problems). Now Kolja is mostly organic and Nourishing Traditions, with enzymes and lectin lock at every meal. ANTIVIRALS and immune support: (two viral protocols done. The first offered huge gains in sensory problems, including what Kolja was able to eat; significant gains in affection, energy. These gains were lost to a large degree over time, although we kept probably about 1/5 of them. Second protocol some gains were made but not nearly as many.) Epicor Virastop PRX Lauricidin Oil of Oregano Sambucol OLE Proboost Astragalus Colostrum Echinacea IP6 Larch arabinogalactan VITAMINS (all the Bs have been important, but B2 has been key for us. Much improved mood when B2 levels are up. Bs supporting the adrenals have helped reduced tantrums, screaming, SIB): Thiamin Riboflavin Niacinamide Panthothenic acid Vitamin C (as ascorbic acid for low HCl), much improved digestion and BMs) Vitamin E Vitamin K MB12 (as injections) P5P Biotin Folinic acid OILS: EPO (got rid of rough skin) Fish oil Cod Liver Oil (got rid of ear wax problems, but only after 2 years and lectin lock; improved mood I believe once omega 3s were up too; DS can also tan now, which he couldn't before—I think this is from the D) Conjugated linoleic acid LIVER SUPPORT (diminished black circles under eyes and better metal excretion with the liver supports): Phosphatidylcholine Liver Life Milk thistle AMINO SUPPORT: Custom blend aminos (big boost in energy and endurance) AKA Taurine (brown poops) L-Carnitine (helped with muscle formation) GABA NAC 5HTP (helps to sleep through the night) MINERALS: Selenium Molybdenum Zinc (increased appetite) Calcium Magnesium (helps with constipation) Vanadium and Chromium (helped stabilize blood sugar levels) Energizing Iron MISCELLANEOUS: CoQ10 DMG (can give us a few words at very high doses, but then Kolja doesn't sleep) TMG Melatonin (helped for falling asleep) Pycnogenol Adrenal Cortex Extract (huge for mood, ability to tolerate frustration, change, and even people) FibreSmart (has helped regulate bowels) Cell food Bethanechol YEAST FIGHTERS (we give huge doses of probiotics and now have good levels of good bacteria, the fermented foods have really helped too): Candex Oil of Oregano Culturelle (huge doses over a long time got rid of bad bacteria) D-lactate free from Custom Probiotics CP-1 Super-Pro Bio Pro Bio Gold VSL #3 Coconut kefir, milk kefir Kombucha Nystatin Diflucan ENZYMES (improved digestion and bms): Houston Zyme Prime Houston Peptizye (all fungal) Houston No Fenol THERAPIES: Floortime, beginning Verbal Behaviour, Cranial Sacral TESTS that have proved helpful: Metametrix ION Panel which includes the Organix and amino profile, hair elements test from DDI, porphyrins and oxidative stress tests from France , UTMs and FTMs, liver and blood tests ordered by our pediatrician. No test from GPL has ever been helpful. > > Dear Anita > > I am so sorry for your son having to go thru that yesterday, your heart just > breaks for your kids sometimes doesnt it?
