I agree, Oprah has had a weight struggle her whole life and I can relate.

People like to give her grief, but I know its that if she lets her guard

down for a minute the weight is just right there waiting.

I saw a movie with Locklear, she is 47 but looks a lot younger

(plastic surgery) but her body is increadable I think she shows what is

possible with hard work.

I'm on the edge of my seat wanting to know what's up with Oprah! I shouldn't

be so riveted to her weight drama, but I've watched her struggle for so long

that I feel like I know her. I'm really pulling for her to succeed and find

peace with the food thing. It will be interesting to see what's up and what

the plan is. I'm sure it will involve that little weasel Bob Greene ;-D I

know it's not right to blame Bob, but sometimes I feel like he's failed her.

Just looked at the link. I see Cheerios, toast, creamsicle treats; where

the heck are the veggies??? I'm almost afraid to look at the fitness plan.

Those foods are fortified and I'm sure the exercise plan is sound. Bob

Greene didn't stay on top without producing results.

You know, I always thought If I had a cook and a personal trainer like Oprah

and a million other celebrities, I'd be a hot body. I see its a struggle for

most people, including those with cooks and personal trainers.

Bob Greenes site....sample excercise log....

http://www.thebestlife.com/fitness_non.asp

Im sure most people could loose weight (fat and muscle) by following that eating

plan and topping it off with tons of cardio.  Eventually you have to do more and

more cardio to keep the fat off because you will have burned off so much muscle.

I know from experience. When I changed to BFL eating and working out, I gained

4lbs and lost 2 dress sizes.

Madonna too.  Sometimes she looks scary-ultra-lean and extreme but still in

great shape in some pics. lol

Ha! Oprah should hook up with Madonna and leave Bob Greene behind. Problem

is, Oprah can't afford to work out 6 hrs a day like Madonna does religiously

- she has a business to run and show to produce. Madonna can work out 6 hrs

a day for like forever, except when she's touring. She makes all her income

in royalties, not from having to work *each* day. So she's pretty much a

free agent with her schedule, unlike Oprah.

I wonder if Oprah would ever do the gastric bypass thing or the lap band thing.

As far as Madonna goes...even if I had 6 hours to kill, I don't think I would

spend it working out lol.

I don't know, I was never too smitten by Oprah and her weight loss. I know no

matter how rich she is, she still needs to exercise like the rest of us but

having a personal chef and a personal trainer must surely make things a lot

easier.

That's just my take on it.

I think Madonna has a body to die for - I have always admired what shape she was

in, even though I don't care too much about her music (well, some of her music).

Quite coincidentally, a friend emailed me this morning asking how exactly much

more I wanted to lose (my friends now think I am too skinny LOL) and she said

she read somewhere that Guy said being in bed with Madonna was like having a

piece of gristle in the bed with him..... funny thing is, he obviously did not

think she was a like a piece of gristle when they started dating or got

married. It must be part of the mud flinging that usually happens after a

divorce.

I agree! I think Madonna looks awsome! Especially for 50.

I downloaded her latest album.  I have a few of the songs on my cardio playlist.

I don't really like M's body and would not want it for myself. She looks

very hard/harsh and angular and her face/makeup is just scary. I was one of

her biggest fans when she broke onto the scene in 1980 with " Everybody " , so

I'm not a hater. I just don't think she's aged well (and she's only 6 years

older than me). She looks frightening. just my opinion of course, just

like the people who love her, but i much prefer someone like a heather

locklear or kathy smith. I think you can be muscular without looking

scary/freakish. I'll post a shot here if I can find it that was creepy.

I know what you mean - I don't like her face that much but I guess we cannot

change how we age .... although celebrities with their unlimited amounts of

money can definitely afford all sorts of things to alter the natural process.

As far as Madonna's body goes, that is just my personal preference. What I

actually have on my desktop at home is the picture of Dara that I stole

from 's blog (I think it was in a section called Olympic Abs). That's the

body I am dying to have (though I know it's just a dream) - but that is " my "

motivation and of course I don't expect anybody else to share it with me. I know

that for a lot of people that is too much of that " body-building " look, but

personally, I love it. :-)

Maybe it is just ultra-ultra low body fat. ANyone want to guess what hers

might really be? Look at the veins, and she's not lifting or doing

resistance right now. I love the outline of her quads in her legs, but

what's the rest of the leg on the right as you look at it doing?

And then there's this:

The arm on the left as you look at the photo - that just looks gaunt,

doesn't it? Maybe just me...... It could all be in the stylying too bc in

a photo with different hair/makeup she looks quite nice:

Gimme some Gwen Stefani any day!! lol

The arm pic didn't post. I swear I can see fibrous muscle tissue here in

her shoulder. I think she's " harder " now that when they married - I do

think she would feel like sleeping with steel!
