Guest guest
Good job, Stacey! Sounds like you had fun, and what a variety of equipment. I love workouts like that. , obliquely challenged as well :-) -----Original Message----- From: exercisevideos i went to bed early and was so nervous all night it felt like i didn't sleep at all--anyway i got up and out to the club by 6 am and drove up to a dark building with no cars around!! i waited and within a couple of minutes the instructor came. i introduced myself and told her about my knee--she was nice to give modifications throughout the class for my situation. we'll see how my knee feels later about the exercise! anyway the class used bands, dumbbells, a step and exercise ball. interesting since i only have a couple of dvd's that use bands and i only recently bought a band (it came with the new michelle doizois interval workout). i really liked how the band worked my triceps!! she did a lot of abs work on the ball in the beginning of the class. i could make it through the basic crunches but the oblique work was a little too much for me the first day!! working out in the morning really wakes you up and it felt really good:) many of the people in the class were older than me!! aerobics on thursday morning!! have to watch out--they have carpet-- deadly for knees!! stacey No virus found in this outgoing message. Guest guest
lisa, it has always been difficult for me to get situated on my side on the ball and then forget about the oblique work at this point!! although they are in need of work--that is the flabby part that hangs over the sides of my jeans, lol. stacey > > Good job, Stacey! Guest guest
Oh gosh, those are the worst - the side crunches! I've almost pitched off the ball on more than one occasion! Even just the twisting crunches on the ball fry me, and only in a couple of reps. I work my abs (all of them), but this must be a weak spot on me. I'm feeling it in my obliques from Cathe's ab section on Body Fusion, which I did on Sunday. It's really simple for me to work my abs to failure. How about you? -----Original Message----- From: exercisevideos lisa, it has always been difficult for me to get situated on my side on the ball and then forget about the oblique work at this point!! although they are in need of work--that is the flabby part that hangs over the sides of my jeans, lol. stacey No virus found in this outgoing message. Guest guest
lisa, i think i have had a weak core for my entire life!! i remember back in high school when they did the once a year assessment in gym class-- i could never do that many sit-ups in the three minutes!! and after having four children...you get the picture. i will try harder as i can to get stronger because i know this a weak part of my body and so even though it is hard for me i should be giving it more attention!! stacey > > Oh gosh, those are the worst - the side crunches!
