Guest guest
Hello friends, My son had been on metrodinazole for two weeks. After two days of the finishing the course of treatment, he had severe red, itchy, hot patch all over his body.He was so distressed ,I had to call NHS direct and I was suggested to give him antihistamine,I did and he managed to sleep.Today is the 6th day,the rash is going away slowly and my GP put him on antihistamine. I e-mailed to Dr H.and he said it was very rare but I should inform the doctors about his reaction about the use of antibiotics. In the paST he showed also reactions to another medications (he had hallucination),again reaction to metrodinazole (skin irritation) but this time it was much severe. So,no more medication for clearing the gut for us.He will be on caprylic acid for a while. I am sending this in case you may wish to know it.Every children is different and mine is very sensitive to many things! I hate these bugs,parasities,candida... Guest guest
It's the sulphation system that processes many of these antibiotics etc. Sulphate is needed to add on to these endogenous substances so they can be excreted out....maybe you can try a touch of Epsom salts (mag sulph) to see if he first reacts and thenm go up. Personally in difficult cases I would try homeopathy. If you find the right rememdy it can be amazing..... Just recently I was skiing and had a horrible case of sciatica..couldn't sleep etc tossed and turned the whole night.I kept thinking of what I could buy which was not Tylenol sort. I remembered someone telling me about Rhus Tox for sciatica so I took one globuli twice at 5 minute intervels and presto the pain disspated almost immediately . Guest guest
Just on the face of it, I woudl give your child belladonna D6 every 5 minutes for 20 minutes to see what happens. That's what exactly happened to our Jack . She had the same complaint for 36 hours (couldn't sleep) and I was afraid she would collapse. Took her off to the vet who gave her cortisone which had no effect. I eventually tried out belladonna and the rash went down 95%, she stopped scratching and fell asleep finally in 10 minutes quite peacefully. Reaction to metrodinazole! Guest guest
Even on homeopathic remedies you can get extreme results and this doesn't mean the approach hasn't helped him. however, it is important to have informed support from whoever prescribed the course so you can deal quickly with side effects. OTherwise that's really grim and sorry that you've had this horrible time. > > Hello friends, > My son had been on metrodinazole for two weeks. After two days of the > finishing the course of treatment, he had severe red, itchy, hot patch > all over his body.He was so distressed ,I had to call NHS direct and I > was suggested to give him antihistamine,I did and he managed to > sleep.Today is the 6th day,the rash is going away slowly and my GP put > him on antihistamine. > I e-mailed to Dr H.and he said it was very rare but I should inform > the doctors about his reaction about the use of antibiotics. > In the paST he showed also reactions to another medications (he had > hallucination),again reaction to metrodinazole (skin irritation) but > this time it was much severe. > So,no more medication for clearing the gut for us.He will be on > caprylic acid for a while. > I am sending this in case you may wish to know it.Every children is > different and mine is very sensitive to many things! > I hate these bugs,parasities,candida... > All the best > nevin >
