Guest guest
Peta. Can I ask what test you did on Charlie, and did you do it through your GP or privately... I think my daughter has PANDA's but she is an adult. Cheers PANDAS and strep Hi Charlie has had a test for Pandas and he is positive. Does anyone know much about it? I have read about the symptoms but even after it is treated is it likely to keep coming back? We are treating with anti biotics which don't seem to be working and the next thing after that is IVIG. So if IVIG successfully gets rid of it can the child still get it again? Sorry confusing post!ThanksPeta
Guest guest
Hi It was through our DAN dr in the States. The test was done at Quest diagnostics Incorporated and the test is called DNase - B Ab. Sorry can't find a phone number for the lab. Guest guest
Hi I'll chime in here if you don't mind - you also need ASO (AntiStrep O) in addition to the DNase B AB titers. This is a blood test, can be drawn at any lab. We had ours drawn at the hospital as part of a CBC draw. It is just an add on test, to the blood count. Hope this helps. Guest guest
A recent Dnase for my daughter was x4 upper adult limit with ASO in mid range. She had exended bout of scarlet fever as toddler; family history of rheumatic disease and a nephew with OCD/strep symptoms. SO what does one do about it? Does anyone know if strep A can do the same type of long term damage it does in the heart and kidney in the brain? Is anyone using Usman's protocol for this? Thanks, > > > > > > Peta. > > > > > > Can I ask what test you did on Charlie, and did > > you do it through > > your GP or privately... Guest guest
I'm sorry to but in.Katy had anti d nase result of '1990' and an ASO of 200.Does this mean that she still has a Strep A infection ,or does it mean she has had one and now has an overactive immune response to it,or is it that the bacteria are hidden in a biofilm and the body is making antibodies to it. I'm finding this difficult to understand. If it's hidden away in a biofilm and you break down the biofilm, would there be a risk of a serious active Strep infection. I'm very worried about this ,as I read about two new mothers that died last week from an overwhelming Strep A infection. Can anyone help me understand this ? Thanks Sharon. > > > > > > > > Peta. > > > > > > > > Can I ask what test you did on Charlie, and did > > > you do it through > > > your GP or privately... Guest guest
Sharon, I share your concern. imo, I don't think that the titers would be so high if our children were merely harboring the results of past exposure. Our gp said - 'infection in the past with good response!' My daughter is one of those 'never sick' people. I think her system is busy fighting lots, including the strep. Would anybody be able to email me the specifics of the protocol. I've read the generic on ck2 but haven't been able to find specifics. Thanks, > > > > > > > > > > Peta. > > > > > > > > > > Can I ask what test you did on Charlie, and did > > > > you do it through > > > > your GP or privately... Guest guest
Our Gp said the same.As a baby, during her regression she had very high temps and would shut down peripherally, she also became very puffy her face hands and feet.Up to the age of 3yrs she had little red unblanchable dots all over her trunk. The Gp used to say it was a viral infection all the time ,never tested for Strep, her twin sister was treated for Strep throat several times. I have the protocol Dr Usman wanted me to put Katy on,I can e.mail it to you tomorrow ,sorry have to go to work soon.I can't start this on Katy as I know her gut would not tolerate it.My feeling is she has an ulcer in her gut somewhere as she reacts so violently to any acidic gut treatment. When I try gut stuff now I think she is showing signs of kidney problems.I'm just trying to keep her gut settled until we hear back form Dr Balzola. We are treating Strep with Seqeuntial Homeopathy and this seems to be suiting her very well. Kind regards. Sharon. > > > > > > > > > > > > Peta. > > > > > > > > > > > > Can I ask what test you did on Charlie, and did > > > > > you do it through > > > > > your GP or privately...
