Guest guest
I just finished Jari's Ripped and Chisseled workout. OwW. She fried my shoulders and biceps big-time. LOL I thought you were giving out some Jell-O recipe lol I don't have this one from Jari. I guess I should get it sometime so I can add it to my collection for when I do decide to do another rotation of her workouts. Psssst...Have you heard the news? Guest guest
LOL, sorry, didn't mean to be misleading.... I'm guessing you would have rather heard about a workout instead of a jello anyway? :)I enjoyed it. There aren't any abs at all in this one. It clocks in at 60 minutes. Guest guest
I'm sure I have done it in the past, but not lately. Maybe I will do it in a couple of days. Does anyone know which is easiest and hardest out of the Jari's? And the inbetweens??I couldn't believe I had to drop down to 3's on my shoulders. Wow. I don't remember the last time I used 3lb dumbells. I was cooked. Darcy this is a tough one isn't it? have you tried S & L yet? > > My arms are so flipping jello. Guest guest
Get ripped is the easiest, it is the 1st in the series and it is supposed to get you used to the movements/working w/ weights. From what I've read, others tend to go heavier on this to get a better workout, not as many reps. This is the order of dvd release: Get Ripped Slim and Lean Ripped to the Core Ripped 1000 Ripped and Chiseled I also think this was the order in which to progress thru the dvd's as well from the forum on her website. I don't have RTTC, but I did try Ripped 1000, which is supposed to be very similar but w/ cardio bursts between the weight tracks. I don't care for the functional moves because I feel like I don't get a good workout...concentrating too much on balance and form to be able to lift a weight that I actually feel, if that makes any sense. For me, these would be medium workouts because they aren't cardio nor a great weight workout. I think Slim and Lean is a bit easier than Ripped and Chiseled. I actually prefer the exercises in R & C, to me S & L seems heavier on the leg work and R & C more on upper body, and I would probably prefer R & C if it were not for the supersetting. My muscles are so fried by the end! I'm switching back to S & L next week for my rotation, and then back to R & C the week after. Since Jari is all I have for weight workouts, I'm just going to rotate between the 3 of them. I don't have a planned rotation, but was thinkinking of sticking with S & L for 4-6 weeks, then a week or so of Ripped with heavier weights, then maybe 4 weeks of R & C, etc. On her website, for about $10 Cdn you can purchase a download of the rotations. I'm not planning on getting either RTTC or 1000, so I don't really have any need for it, but it would be interesting to see what she recommends. > > > > > > My arms are so flipping jello. They do give some rational for why they are suggesting things the way they do, but it is pretty basic. " :*carolyn.
Guest guest
thanks, I was curious but not enough to spend money on it. I figure if I rotate S & L for 4 weeks, ripped for 1 or 2 w/ heavier weights, and R & C for a few weeks, I'm mixing it up enough so my muscles aren't getting used to the workouts (at least that's what they said in bodypump classes, and it was basically the same routine for either 12 weeks or 8 weeks. > >On her website, for about $10 Cdn you can > > purchase a download of the rotations.
