Guest guest
Hi Mandi My first guess would be a problem with the security on your network. When you search for wireless networks on the new machine, does your network appear on the list? If so, is it listed as a secured or unsecured network? If it is secured, you need to find the password key that your router is using or go into the router settings and change it to something memorable. If you can let me know the make and model of the router I might be able to figure out how you can do that. Having said all that, I'd really recommend ditching the wireless network altogether and switching to a wired one instead. WiFi uses the same kind of signals as mobile phones and is very far from proven to be safe, especially for sensitive kids. Best wishes Tim > > We have home network, when we try to add a new machine it says the computer > did not asign you a network address and won't work. > > I think the last PC man that came when we lost code (Dh used highliter pen > to write on glossy paper and then close it so all washed away) I think he has > done something to it so every time we want to add new PC we have o ask him in > at £45 for 6 mins.
