Guest guest
Hi, Today was cardio - and I had to trick myself again - I picked out one of her combo workouts - With Every Step that includes 2 30 min step workouts. I bargained w/ myself saying I only had to do one of the workouts - which I did! Then, I wanted to do the second workout on the DVD, but the DVD is wonky - I think it may have gotten scratched and was giving me grief - it had given me grief to play the first workout - but I figured out how to "trick" it (basically turn the DVD player off, have it re-load, then it takes me to the menu to select the workout) but, at that point I didn't feel like tricking it again - and my knees were feeling a bit twingey anyway - so I pulled out one of Charlene's VHS tapes and did one of the workouts on Oxygen In, Calories Out (this one has 2 low impact cardio routines - 30 minutes each). So, I got a good Charlene cross-training combo. Both of these workouts are typically Charlene - With Every Step is moderate to basic choreography - Xanna (Charlene's daughter is in this as well as one other lady). Everyone does the step workout w/ a 10 inch step - 8 is my max and I did use 8 for this workout. Oxygen In,Calories Out features 2 lower impact cardio routines - is back and there is one other lady in the background. Charlene ups the intensity with large lower body movements - and even some "toning" moves - like squats and lunges to up the heart rate. I definately recommend Charlene for those who like lower impact workouts, not too much choreography. With Every Step is filmed on a white background - which fascinates my cat - I have a one-eyed semi-blind cat and he was sitting in front of the TV the whole time this one was on - I suspect he can see the people better with the stark white background. Oxygen In, Calories Out is filmed at an old theater. I like the outdoor scenery ones the best - but these are both good workouts. Tomorrow I finish up my Firm classics with Volume 5. Hope everyone has a great day. Donna
