Guest guest
Hi Betsey! Thank you so much for this great affirmation! I tried doing something like that because it usually works for me too but the pushups were truly just too tough. I don't let much slow me down but I finally had to just give in and bring the load down a notch for now. My attitude is so much better now too. I felt defeated before which is really unusual for me too. Now I feel like I can definitely do them but they're not too easy and not ridiculously hard so now when I remember it is a pushup day I think, "Oh, okay, it is a pushup day. Good, let's see what I can do today!" Instead of "Oh no!! It's a pushup day! Why am I doing this to myself?" I know you joined recently and I don't know if I officially welcomed you or not (I am sooooo behind on reading/replying to posts) but if not, please accept this reply as my belated welcome. I'm really glad you're here and really appreciate your help and encouragement too!!! Re: Pushup challenge & more -Do you know what I do when I hit an exercise that I don't particularly like? I do a little chant to myself: I am FIT, I am LEAN, I am STRONG and I am HEALTHY. One "I am" per rep. It really does seem to help. Attitude is a big part of it! Don't let the exercise get you down!Betsey
