I can see the tops of mine and I'm at 30 something.

It's really different for everybody. It depends a lot on genetics and how

you carry your fat. If you're an " apple " who carries weight in your

mid-section, you might need to be below 16% to see anything, but pear shaped

women who carry all their weight in their hips and thighs often have some

nice ab definition even with a body fat percentage in the upper 20s.

OK, this might seem like a stupid question, but I have always

wondered exactly what people mean when they say " visible abs " or

wonder if they can see their abs, etc. What exactly would one expect

to see when " seeing " her abs?

It's not a stupid question at all and I think it's a pretty subjective thing,

so, to me, visible abs means that you can see the little bumps of the ab muscles

sticking out, 6 of them. I have the line in the middle, in fact I had it at 40%

bodyfat, but I would like to see the " washboard " or batman abs. I think it's

just that the skin is thin enough / bodyfat low enough that those little muscles

are actually visible.
