Guest guest
I was lucky enough to inherit one from my neighbor. I'm having a blast using it. Was just wondering if anyone had mapped out a body part workout plan to mirror BFL. ________________________________ From: bodyforlifewomensclub2 [mailto:bodyforlifewomensclub2 ] On Behalf Of Fran Sent: Thursday, June 05, 2008 10:24 AM To: bodyforlifewomensclub2 Subject: Re: Total Gym my dh uses this and i've tried it from time to time. it is definitely a workout and you can literally max out yourself easily. i like free weights better personally. Guest guest
Did you get the book that came with it? That has all the different exercises for each body part. If not, you can probably order the workout guide from the website. On Thu, Jun 5, 2008 at 1:25 PM, Mounts, wrote: > I was lucky enough to inherit one from my neighbor. I'm having a blast > using it. Guest guest
I printed some exercises from the website. Do you have any of the videos or DVDs? I'm planning on ordering at least one of them but i'm not sure which would most applicable to BFL. ________________________________ From: bodyforlifewomensclub2 [mailto:bodyforlifewomensclub2 ] On Behalf Of Fran Sent: Thursday, June 05, 2008 10:52 AM To: bodyforlifewomensclub2 Subject: Re: Total Gym Did you get the book that came with it? Guest guest
Well shame on him. I would think it would be copyrighted! ;-) It's just so fun to use. It came with all the doo dads. I have no idea how to use the attachements so I have to wing it. I'm sure that I'll end up with some crazy, overused and unattractive mucles popping out of random places. I googled and found some very kewl sites with exercises. I just need to get organzied about it. Thanks for the help! ________________________________ From: bodyforlifewomensclub2 [mailto:bodyforlifewomensclub2 ] On Behalf Of Diane M. Guest guest
The Total Gym is a take off of the Pilates Reformer. They never used the word Pilates because years ago there were people trying to copyright the name Pilates (along with the equipment and exercises). I'm pretty sure Total Gym was trying to avoid being sued! Anyway, you can use most if not all of any Pilates Reformer exercises on the Total Gym. You may need the user's guide to know how to change the settings on the machine though. Miaja** > > > > > Are any of you using the Total Gym for your workouts?
