Gosh, if I were 22% I would be happy as a lark and go into maintenance mode ;)

I am 5'2.5 " and started this at 128 lbs. So... by no means am I

" overweight " -- all of my numbers fall within the normal range

(weight, BMI, etc). My BF scale says I am at about 30% BF (definitely

on the high end). But, at 45 (and a reduction in my exercise routine

the past 4 years), I've got rolls I'd rather not have :)

I'm trying not to be too " optimistic " but I think I may be down 2 lbs

after 11 days on the program -- we'll see how the weight trend goes.

I'll feel confident in saying I *am* down, when the scale hits 120 and

does so consistently (and no, haven't seen much change in the

clothes-o-meter). I have never been able to lose weight, unless I

totally starved myself, so this appears to be progress.

The one thing I feel like is a " cheat " every day is the CoffeeMate

(unsweetened with sweet-n-low) that I use in my morning cuppa. Need to

get to our natural food store and see if I can find the Coffee Mate

soy so that at least it's a little healthier. Either that or nix the

coffee and suffer blinding headaches for a week ;)

I've done really good in staying on the plan otherwise. I am using

Saturday as my " free day " .

Last night when we watched a movie, I did get a homemade truffle as a

treat (I had a friend give us a whole box on NYDay -- this is the

first one I've eaten). I only ate half, and then gave the other half

to my hubby ;) I think I could feel the sugar buzz, even from that

half a bite. And, it really wasn't that good. I may be able to avoid

the rest of the box!

Thanks, I'm certainly happiER than I was a few months ago at 28%. I

still have plenty of clothes that fit as recently as 18 months ago

that I can't get into, though. Plus, I want really buff arms and the

ability to lift heavy things! : ) Oh, and I weigh WAY more than you.

Sounds like you're doing great, I can't imagine eating HALF a truffle.

I'm taking my free day tomorrow - thinking maybe pizza, but the one

I'm craving is a 3 hour drive away.

I use my Tanita scale almost daily and calipers once a month.

If you get on the scale at night, fully hydrated, your weight will be up

compared to a morning reading but your body fat percentage will be more

accurate and closer to the caliper reading. Even that's too fussy for me

though. I just get on it in the morning knowing that it's going to read me

4-5 points high. It's quite consistent about that, so if it starts dropping,

you know your body fat is dropping. And that's all you really need to know,

right?

It's a very nice, very accurate scale (for weight). The body fat percentage

is entertaining and somewhat informative, a good daily check in, but if I

want precision, I'll drag the calipers out. I haven't tinkered with

age/height trying to trick it, but now I might go tell it I'm an 18 year old

boy just to see what it makes of that. :-P
