Guest guest
I really need to sit down and think about this. I can do some lower body work, and I've been thinking I should find the exercises I can do, as opposed to totally skipping lower body. For example, dead lifts don't hurt my knees. Somehow I doubt that just doing the small amounts of walking is going to keep my lower body in shape (or maybe I'm wrong?). is sometimes good - too much lateral movement isn't good, as is lifting my knees up for a high march. Pilates has some lying leg lifts that work, but there is often bending knees, I've found. Bicycle crunches, for instance. Bellydancing would likely be okay, but I don't really care for them...might be worth a second look though, just to get something in. Upper body is definitely a go. Thank goodness. It's been keeping me sane. I can walk, too, as long as I don't use much of an incline, or go too quickly, or for too long. I don't mind splitting up my workout, so that's not a problem. If I have to take a rest period between walking sessions, that's okay. My doctor recommended 20 minutes of walking - but up to 30 seems to be okay. Mentally, I'm finding I have to pick a specific upper body workouts - if I put in a total body dvd, then I'm tempted to do the leg work - modified, of course, but still. Silly, I know. I guess I figure it can't hurt to do just a few shallow squats...and sometime it's okay, but other times I pay for it the next day. , still sitting here... -----Original Message-----From: exercisevideos [mailto:exercisevideos ]On Behalf Of Pink PussycatWhen I injured my foot I did a lot of Pilates and was grateful for that format. Can you do Sansone at all? What about upper body? Bellydancing videos? Let us know what you put together! I'd be interested in seeing it!
