Metabolism heat!

Hi....

This is my first time on a program like this. Every other " diet " I have

done has been low calorie, such as Craig or Weight Watchers. I

found I was always freezing when I was on it. I was prepared for that

again but it hasn't happened. And then I read (from I think?)

that the warmth I'm feeling is actually a physical sign of my

metabolism speeding up. How cool is that?! A physical sign that this

program is working. I love it!!!! That, and not being hungry while

still dropping weight make this a winner for me.

Does anyone know how long it takes for your metabolism to steady out at

a " better " rate?

There is no set timeframe on fixing a slow metabolism. It varies depending

on age, hormones, genetics and diet history. Somebody who's had an eating

disorder or been a chronic dieter for years won't pull out of it with just a

few weeks of healthy eating. It takes more time to undo the damage. Somebody

who was kind of a hit or miss meal-skipper may see and feel immediate

changes when switching to six meals and lots of protein.

Me, even though I eat like a lumberjack, I'm still freezing most of the

time. I don't know if it's my thyroid, or body fat, or the fact that it's

January, but brrrrrrrr!! I normally only get that hot feeling after a meal

when it's free day and I'm wolfing down pizza or Mexican food, and then if I

get too hot, I can always fix it with some ice cream. :-)
