For us I think this is reflux, also when this is going on her

allergies are a bit worse. The reflux I have learnt is related to

more gut motility. At the moment we are seeing improvement using

s Aloe vera juice.May be an anti histamine or antacid may help.

Hi

I wondered if this could also be an infection? I know a lot of kids

have strep infections/imbalances and whenever I google strep it comes

up with pages and pages on throat problems. Just a wild guess but it

may be worth trying some xylitol just in case.

Best wishes

Hi

My daughter did this almost all the time for about 1 year (she is 3.5 now). I am fairly certain it was reflux related initially but then became a habit. She did it more when she was in a stressful situation or at bedtime - I think it helped her unwind. She then stopped doing it completely for many months. Recently, she has started again occasionally. I have not tried to stop her doing it as I think it calms her down and at some level she needs to do it.

and until we find out what that reason is, we are just peeing in the

wind really.

Hi

It is supposed to inhibit the ability of bugs like strep to adhere to

the infected areas. I think you can get it in toothpaste and chewing

gum forms as well as pure sugar-like crystals. I'm not sure how

effective it is but it's easy to get hold of and unlikely to do any

harm.

Best wishes

My son stop clearing his throat after we treated for strep/candidose

with a lots of naturals and high doses probiotic.

For long time terapistes told me it is a stim, but I will vote for

strep.

HI, no, this is definitely not a stim.

something is at him.

however, if i make a big deal out of it, i suppose it could become

negatively reinforced and become intensified.
