Guest guest
Today I scheduled Tony Little's Awesome Abs from the gazelle 3 pack that I have. I didn't really know what to expect, so I let the tape play while I put on my shoes and HR monitor, etc. I didn't see the gazelle on the workout stage, so I fast forwarded to see what the deal was. This appears to be an abs routine, sans gazelle. Since I was looking for something to use with the elliptical today, this wasn't it. Plus it looked really bizarre! Tony does a warm up in a wig and hat while doing a super loud and annoying Wayne's World type impression (from Sat Night Live) that is so weird! He's wearing cut off jeans and a crushed velvet tank top, too! And at the end he's' wearing another strange get up and has a harmonica and is yelling away. For the abs routine he keeps the crushed velvet tank and adds a unitard to it! Yikes! Not for me today, that's for sure. The abs routine might be okay, but I need to be in a mood to handle all of the weirdness as well. *sigh* So I grabbed the other tape that I haven't tried from this 3 pack and hoped for the best. It's called Lower Body Solution, and was pretty decent. This *is* a gazelle workout where he must use less arms or something, hence the title. I used arms whenever I felt like it, and also used the reverse program on my elliptical so I was prompted to change directions throughout the workout. It's only a 30 minute workout, so I added some time at the end and got to 50 minutes total on the elliptical. The workout is similar to the Total Body one that I did on the elliptical before, but he's more toned down in this one and there are less weird screen shots here – no odd food images, etc. There were a few shots of bikini clad women and 1-2 of men in shorts, and also some strange ones at the end with old men using bad exercise form. But they were short and kind of funny, so that wasn't too bad. There are turbo intervals in this one, but they don't start until after 15-18 minutes in. There were 3-4 60 second sprints and 3 90 second sprints. I really pushed during these and got a really nice cardio workout from this. I'm feeling that " just right " amount of soreness from yesterday's Ripped workout, too. Not super duper sore, but sore enough in all the right places to know I had a good workout, yet I should be almost recovered by tomorrow so I can give Slim & Lean my all. And elliptical workouts always help my DOMS too, with the no impact. Sounds like everyone else is doing great with the Ripped rotation, too!
