Weekend Workouts

Well, Saturday started off with the Budokan Maintenance workout. Yes, indeed it was the same workout, repackaged again! UGH! Anyway, if I decide to do Budokan again, I'll probably just use this one because it is only 30 minutes and easier to fit into my schedule. After that I did Winsor Pilates Fat Burning Workout. First of all, this really isn't Pilates. It's aerobics with some Pilates at the very end. It was a good workout, clocking in at 46 minutes, but definitely not what I was expecting. I'm glad I did it here though so I didn't do it after another relaxing Pilates workout and then get my heart rate back up for this. Mari should stick to Pilates though because her cueing was a little late so not the easiest to follow. After that was Winsor Pilates Maximum Burn Basics. After the Fat Burning on the same DVD, I thought this would be more aerobics, but it was a straight Pilates workout with all the basic moves covered. It was 22 minutes and a nice Pilates practice, but if you already have anything else by Mari Winsor, you have all these moves already. I then went on to AM Chi for Beginners and PM Chi for Beginners that I had recorded from either Fit TV or Wisdom years ago. After editing the commercials, they were each about 20 minutes long. I like these because they are very calming, a single exerciser on a beach. So I turn off the lights and light some Heart of the Ocean candles and enjoy the workout.

Sunday I wanted to just do some relaxing and stretching type exercise, so I started with Winsor Pilates Accelerated Body Sculpting. This 50 minute workout is a total body Pilates that really got everything warmed up and stretched. Then I went to Winsor Pilates Bun & Thigh Sculpting. In 30 minutes, Mari kills your hips! I've had a problem with my SI joint for a few years and there were times in this workout that I honestly had to stop and have my daughter sit on my hips while I was in childs pose to help release it because it was screaming from this workout. That being said, I loved the workout! Yeah, I'm a masochist like that. I love feeling like I'm actually working even when I'm stretching things out. After that I put in my Yoga Zone mix tape and did Spinal Flexiblity (needed that for my SI), Personalize your Practice, and what I had of Breath. The first two were about 20 minutes after fast forwarding through commercials, but apparently there was only about 10 minutes left on the tape after them and I put Breath on there even though I didn't get all of it. They were all typical Yoga Zone. Nice relaxing yoga without the traditional sequence, which I really like because I hate downward dog. LOL I then finished up my day with Lower Body Chi for Beginners and Upper Body Chi for Beginners. These are two more Gaiam videos that I taped from either Fit TV or Wisdom years ago. Much like the other two Chi workouts from Saturday. The difference being in the Upper Body one, you use a Chi Ball to make it more intense. I was going for the stretch though, not the work, so I skipped the chi ball. After that, I thought I was done with that mix tape, but then I saw Rodney Yee! I fast forwarded though what wasn't labeled on the tape and found a Rodney Yee Yoga, Qigong with two people I didn't recognize, and 2 Sharon Mann yoga/pilates/chi workouts. Guess I have more to do to finish my goal for the year then I originally thought. I'll add the 4 extra workouts as I find the time, but it won't be this week. ;)

Okay, off to get some things done and find time to do a workout. Hope ya'll have a great day!

What a busy weekend! And how about those Phillies! J Friday was cardio day so I walked lunch time. Saturday I was still feeing like cardio so I did Sansone’s 4 Really Fast Miles. Yesterday I did Jari Love’s Slim and Lean which really burned my arms. I do dread/love her workouts! Ate a bit too much this weekend but at least I got a lot of activity in.

Have a great week everyone. Go Phillies – bring it home tonight!
