Guest guest
Hi, apologies for posting off-topic but would like to hear of anyone’s experience positive or negative about DORE. Both my niece who has dyslexia and my friend’s little girl who has no diagnosis but is probably PDD NOS are thinking of signing up. Off-list is fine if this is too off-topic. SARA It's definitely helping us here. We don't have dyslexia, but are using the programme for dyspraxia and ADHD symptoms with HF autism. It covers all general learning difficulties. We've been on the programme now for 10 weeks and already have remarkable improvements in handwriting, (which is supposed to be one of the biggest responders) , and progress in happiness and mood. It is amazing to me how clever the program is, and how logical. I can't believe no-one thought of it before. I am also amazed at how many of the very simple exercises DD cannot do at first. (i.e. catching a bean bag, eye tracking, and exercises with her eyes shut) All my DD's dyspraxia symptoms are also responding. She is definitely less oppositional to her school work, almost as if it suddenly isn't so difficult for her. I would definitely recommend it, especially for dyslexia, since this seems to respond exceptionally well, according to their peer reviewed studies.
