Hello ,

We used a cream called Amitop when my son had blood taken. It worked

really well. However, the nurses at the hospital put it on when we

arrived, as we couldn't get it from our GP. The advantage of Amitop

is that it only takes about 30 minutes to work, whereas Emla takes an

hour.
