Guest guest
I don't understand people like your co-worker either. I used to have one like that too, drove me crazy. Anyway, I hope you feel better fast, Kassia! yeah full blown sick now i woke up this morning with a fever. past few days had a slight sorethroat but sucked on cough drops and indulged in hot liquids likecoffee and tea. i was thinking it was camping in the cold but i was feeling fine untila few days ago. i have a woman at work with full health coverageplenty of sick time racked up but yet she comes to work and coughs allover the place and says "i'm not sick blah blah" bull crap. even ifyou weren't sick, you are coughing into your hands(training videos sayuse sleeves since sleeves don't handle the food and utensils or atleast wash hands after you do that). somebody else(the germaphobe ofthe group) bitched that the woman was not washing her hands. greatthat is lovely!!! get the whole high school sick. its bad enough ihave to handle nasty money and can't wash my hands until betweenlunches, not to mention nasty kids(think they are old enough to knowNOT to pick there nose etc) i guess i didn't stand a chance no matterhow healthy i am. unlike ms. coughy pants i don't have much sick timeleft,i used most of it to take viola to the drs, and i don't have fullhealth insurance which means it will cost me a ton of money for a dr.to tell me i may have a cold/sore throat and get a dr. note. i TOTALLY understand that when a little under the weather most can'tjust call out of work b/c of fear of losing pay etc but if you DO have3-4weeks sick time and full health coverage(i mean she loves to braghow great it is) then why not STAY HOME if you have a nasty cough.whyput others through heck. we have another woman at work who has 3 kidsshe cannot afford to get sick b/c she lost her health coverage too.she just couldn't afford it anymore and like me she took time and usedsick time to take kids to drs or nurse sick kids at home. the worse part is i want to workout i still have that drive but i knowit will not happen with a sinus headache, sore throat, and fever. if ieven try yoga it will feel like my brain is floating on water and iwill spend the rest of the day on the couch. just had to get that off my chest. kassia
Guest guest
kassia, when that woman is at work you should force some antibacterial gel on her if she has a cold and is coughing all over the place. look her in the eye and say--use this--i don't want to be sick. all of my children (all under 10 ) know enough to sneeeze or cough in their elbow or shoulder--what is wrong with her??!! hoping you have a speedy recovery this week!! stacey

Guest guest
Ugh! sorry to hear you're sick Kassia! Can you use hand sanitizer at work when you're working the register? And, I totally understand your feelings about your co-worker - that is rude!! And, kids now-a-days are being taught to cough into their sleeves etc. One lady in my office has been coming in w/ walking pneumonia - we're all pretty upset by it since no one even told us that she was that sick! GRRR!! I'm lucky to be on the other side of the office from her. I don't know if it is contagious or not - but how productive at work can you be if you're that sick?Take care!Donna ,___
Guest guest
aww thanks gals. feeling a little better. sore throat seems to be gone. taking some tylenol warming liquid stuff. taste nasty but gets a good nights rest. no fever but my head is a still a little blah but i have been having that for awhile now. no cough or nothing just feel yucky. donna,i complained this morning about it and we are suppose to have a meeting coming up soon. usually they don't want anything at your registers but i think this is something that needs to be address since we have already had a case of MRSA in our area. a small 99cent bottle left in the drawer won't bother anything really. or at least carry in our apron pockets. usually with food i have the habit of washing my hands as i am sure everybody does but not many think about touching dirty money that you don't even know who has handled. i try to wash between lunches but that won't always help. i said something today b/c the woman pretty much coughed on me and didn't cover her mouth. whether or not its a cold or just allergies(i hate that itch in the throat that won't go away) its still gross and rude. so of course in my punk attitude i just said " back it up i don't need whatever you have " . pretty mean yes but you would think someone older then my mom would know to cover their mouth. but i did do some stretching last night and some yoga this morning with yoga for inflexible ppl doing the hip opener series. all lying floor work and it felt great. think i might try to fit in more if not do some on my own. i feel pretty good lying down but i am not about to do any sun salutations soon with this sinus/head ache. working on some trades. i am getting mindy's cardio toolbox. i know when i did try it i didn't like b/c i couldn't follow but i like mindy and have other cardio of hers to work with. i could possibly get christi's humble beginnings. i would really really like to get this dvd. and all it takes is shipping out a lonely hardly used dvd and a buck or two. off to the couch LOL. have a great one kassia
