Thanks for the review, Kathy! It sounds great! Glad you got a good workout with it.

Saturday's workout

Today I broke in another new workout – Tamilee Webb’s Tight on Time Body Blast which emphasizes the lower half. There are 4 – 10 minute segments: workout on the ball, cardio step, classic floor work and a well-rounded ab routine. I also did the short warm-up and 5 minute stretch at then end. The step workout really burned my thighs at the end because of the many reps – which was a good thing. I really liked this workout and I also like her upper body tight on time as well. Ross is carrying them now so you can get a nice deal on them.

Good to see your workout post, Kathy :))) I've always enjoyed Tamilee and this one sounds fun.

I think I am but I haven’t seen the

rotation set up by the group. I don’t have Chiseled or 1000 but I

am sure I can substitute a Debbie Siebers workout as well.

The last time I did Jari's Get Ripped I used heavier weights for most of it and I recall the chest section really burning, especially after doing those pushups on my toes. I thought for sure I'd get DOMS at least from that, but didn't. I've never got sore from any of her workouts. I've yet to figure that out.

I get sore from Slim and Lean when you do

all of those push ups!

Excellent weights Bernadette!!!!! I like the change you made to the workout. It definitely helped to be able to lift heavier :)

Good to hear from you Kathy!!! I hope you enjoy your new workouts, and great job with staying active!! (not that we expected any different) :)Darcy

I have been mainly doing walking at work and short workouts on Exercise TV for the past week or so which is fine but hard enough for my liking. Today I received goodies in the mail and from the library.

In the mail I received the following from Powter:

Motivation 1 & 2 which are not really workouts, but tools for getting into shape, improved eating etc

Burn Fat Volume 1

Lean Muscle Mass Vol 2

Yoga Step

Fitness Stretch

Yoga

She is having a sale for the month of February so I got the workouts from her I really wanted. The best part is that she is evidently running her own show now and she mailed these to me directly from her home in Washington. Kind of neat.

From the library I borrowed:

Results Fitness 10 Days to a Better Body with Whitmarsh

10 Minute Solutions Tone Trouble Zones with Amy Bento

Kathy 's Total Body Lift

Strong Body, Ageless Body with O'Brien

Today I decided to try out Strong Body, Ageless Body with O'Brien who turns out to be married to the actor Denton from Desperate Housewives. It's a nice 45 minute workout that works both upper and lower body with some core work thrown in. I like this instructor. She cues well and is very encouraging. The first half of the workout alternated working the upper body for 16 reps (shoulders) followed by a lower body exercise (squats). She alternates the same upper and lower body exercises three times each. Each cycle of the exercise moves faster and has harder variations shown in a box in the upper portion of the screen. She does four cycles of these three upper body/lower body combos (which gets your heart rate up I might add) and then takes it to the mat for the rest of the workout.

I definitely liked this workout and if I can get a good deal on it, I would definitely be tempted to buy. I love my library workout test drives!

Sorry for not checking in that much, it's been busy. I enjoy reading all of your workouts, especially the Chalene and Cathe's.
