Guest guest
Thanks Sandy, could you post a link to the INPP course. Perhaps I need to look at some sort of body map of retained reflexes. The one about the head makes sense. Would rolling your head round in circles help because we do that for warm-up exercises. What do you do in your yoga? Deep breathing exercises seem to very much calm Edith. When she gets agitated and can't calm down she seems to respond to that hyperventilation thing of making a cup over your mouth and breathing stale air. Might be just the surprise and the distraction Sally natasa778 wrote: > > Hey, that is great to hear, so glad it is working! > > I cannot picture Luka would be willing to do it but going to order one > anyway just in case > > Natasa x > > > > > > Hi everyone, > > > > Thanks to Sally and Natasa who suggested yoga awhile back. > > > > We have been doing yoga with Eddie for a few weeks using a " Yoga for > > Kids (3) " and he has been really enjoying it. Guest guest
Hello, Quoting from a letter from Headteacher of my son's school 'Yoga type exercised are undertaken each morning. This forms part of the entitlement curriculum both in terms of our statutory duty to provide physical exercise and also in terms of enabling pupil and his peers to concentrate and focus at the beginning of the day. This focus then extends to the ability to sustain attention to class teaching. Children enjoy and benefit from this activity. We no longer use the DVD.' Problem was I complained about Yoga as my son is repeated yoga exercises any spare minute at home too. He knews all the words from the DVD too. Its kind of driving me crazy at the moment. Just a different prospective on my over experience of yoga. Guest guest
Hi everyone, Natasa - hope you enjoy it. I'd be interested to know what you think. Bridget - Oh wow - too much yoga! For us it used to be the Tank Engine that we knew every word, peep, tunnel ... :-)! Sally - http://www.inpp.org.uk/ There's a little text summary of each of the reflexes here http://www.inpp.org.uk/reflexes/index.php (I just found some quite nice pictures here http://www.optimallearning.com.au/reflextherapy.htm the formatting on this page is all wrong but it has more info - seems to be an old copy of an INPP page). I guessing but I think it is like Iyengar yoga. I've just managed to attend a 2nd Iyengar class (my 2nd class of anything in 5 years) and the DVD seems similar. Best wishes, Sandy
