OT: Toothache?

Is there anything I can do about my son's toothaches?

He seems to have had tooth problems on and off for the last 4 years.

Of course he might have had problems before that but he didn't show

sensitivity to pain before...

It's interesting that he always seems to have been more social

initially when we introduced bone friendly supplements. For example he

initially showed great improvements in the first few weeks of CLO.

This tapered off, then he started to get more social again when I

introduced Cal/mag. His last social improvement came about a month

ago, when in desperation, while waiting for a dentist appointment, I

gave him Solgar Vit K. I didn't want to wait for an order, and it was

all they had in the chemist. I was surprised that he seemed a little

chattier, as it wasn't K2, just the cheaper Vit K. I have started him

on K2 yesterday (he has another toothache, and we are waiting for yet

another appointment at the dentist).

I have read Nourishing Traditions, though we don't really follow the

NT way of eating totally- after 3 and a half years of 'special food'

my brain has given up a bit, TBH. I have also looked at the " Healing

Teeth Naturally " website, but that is even more restricted than NT!

I don't really want the dentist to drill yet another hole in his

teeth, even for a white filling, but I don't want DS to continue being

in so much pain. And the fact he responds to 'bone' supplements makes

me think it's a nutrition problem rather just than him not brushing

his teeth properly.

So, any ideas of what we can do? Increase his supplementation? If so,

to what levels? Introduce more D3 other than CLO? Would a homeopath help?

Also, is there a natural fluoride? At the moment he takes New Era

teething tablets whenever his tooth hurts. It helps a bit, and it has

Calc Fluor which is supposed to be a natural fluoride, but I really

don't know anymore!

One good thing is that now he says he's in pain. Before he used to

have a weird head-shaking, noise making thing going on, and he would

deny that he was in any pain.

Anyway, I would be grateful for any ideas!

Thanks,

Scheherazade
