hiya!

its time for a mid-week checkin!

i have been very active this week so far... on saturday and

sunday i spent many hours putting up outdoor xmas lights -- more

hours on tuesday and today. around 18 hours total. geeze i

have alot of lights, but finally they are all up and look great!

now to do the indoor decorating this weekend... wheew!! i

was surprised at how tired i was after doing all of the lights...

lots of reaching and bending, climbing up and down the ladder,

etc. my glutes are sore. while the weather was nice for

outdoor decorating on saturday, i worked through a blizzard on

sunday and high winds on tuesday and today. geeze, the things i

do for christmas...lol.

on sunday i actually did a video workout -- gilad's express

workouts, disc 2. this is a variety of 10 min (or so)

workouts... i did the whole disc which is about 65 mins or so.

i really enjoyed this... it was fun and not overly challenging.

enough to know that i had a workout but not enough to make me

exhausted.

i also walked for an hour with chinook on sunday.

monday was shopping day and since it was so snowy here, i stomped

around town with my snow boots on and was surprised that my legs

were tired after that... they are kind of heavy boots.

after slipping and falling down on ice and snow yesterday, i was

happy to try out a new gadget today... these wiry

spring-looking things that attach to the bottom of my

crosstrainers so that i can walk on snow and ice without falling

down. wow, i am really impressed... these things are flippin

amazing!! i can even power walk in themand they do not mess up

my form at all !! i wish that i had these a long time ago for

walking outdoors in the winter here in the country. chinook and

i walked for around an hour today and even though it was very

windy and cold, i was all bundled up and felt great.

since the outdoor xmas lights are up, i should be free to do

another video workout tomorrow. the only thing that has been a

bummer this week is that im fighting a cold virus. ive actually

had a virus in my right eye for the last week and a half... it

runs constantly, which is very annoying, and now the virus is

moving into the rest of my head ::sigh:: im not letting it

get the best of me though... life goes on!!

:*carolyn.

You have been a busy bee Carolyn!!!I'm so imprssed that you put up the lights yourself! I have a ton of x-mas lights that haven't been put up in YEARS.. My husband's job. Maybe I should take over and he can watch the kiddos...

You inspire me!DarcyOn Wed, Dec 3, 2008 at 6:27 PM, Festival City Concrete/ & Carolyn Visser wrote:

Carolyn, I hope you'll take pics of your xmas lights and place in your

folder! 18 hours worth? Holy cow!

Those wiry gadgets sound intriguing.

Happy you had a hot date with Gilad, and I hope that virus leaves your

system soon!

A lot of people have a head cold at the office here, so you're not

alone. There's something going 'round.

Get well soon Cola Pop!

Oh! Ice skating is a TOUGH workout! Are you going to a rink or is

there a place outside near you where you can do it? I've never done

it outside, only at a rink, but I'd love to try it outside someday.

Please report in!
