Guest guest
I think you can increase the Sig with L.Rhamosus (sp) Stool analysis and whinge - Long post (sorry) Hi all, brain picking again, sorry, and thank you. We've got a meet with our doc on Thurs, we've had porphyrins back (posted them already, thank you for all your advice re chelation - looks like that might be next) These are our comp stool analysis results. Last May the results showed inflammatory markers within normal range, negative parasites, low level lactobacilli and bifido. Also had candida then (sorry I can't find the actual paper at the moment) Beneficial floraBifidobacter 4+E.coli 4+Lactobacillus 0+ Enterococcus Spp 0+ImbalancesGamma strep 4+mycology - all clearParasitology - all clearCampylobacter - negDigestion/Absorption - within green rangeInflammation everything green except Lysozyme -1240 (reference range of less than 600) Says links to IBD/ inflamed gut? My eldest has UC....Immunology sigA is at 17 (red) - reference 51-204 mg/DL.Short chain fatty acids all ok (green), same for intestinal health markersAny thoughts? This is inflammation and immune issues right? Maybe we're not ready to get the metals out? The reason i'm asking, is that the doc appt time seems to fly by, if i can have an understanding of what's going on, then i can have my questions ready. Sorry, I ask everyone what i should be doing!! i used to be good at making decisions and feeling in control...We're doing scd, and full supplementation incl mb12.thank you all again. We've been really trying hard these last 10 months, and don't seem to be getting anywhere - fast! He's still awake half the night. Flapping all day. No eye contact. We do however now have 2 words... up .... dee (for dvd) we've spent 6000 on vb prog. that's 3 grand a word by my reckoning. As quickly as he learns a new skill, or shows some sign of social development he loses it.When we stopped supps for a week just before having re tests done we didn't notice any regressions. So we left it for another week. Nothing. Do any of your children show no signs of responding? Am feeling p*ssed off today with no family support. Wider family are asking when am i going to let him be.Would love to hear something encouraging please :)miserable cow Jane

Epicor has been shown to increase secretory IgA quite significantly, which is what I think you're talking about here. It's very easy to dose too, and has a lot of other excellent benefits for people who tolerate it (which is most everybody, from what I can tell). > > Short chain fatty acids all ok (green), same for intestinal health > markers > > > thank you all again. Wider family are > asking when am i going to let him be. > Would love to hear something encouraging please My son is something like this. His needs have been different than a majority of kids I've read about. He is also a lot more toxic according to tests than I had thought possible (sorry, I missed your porphyrins tests so I'm not sure where you're at there). He also has viral issues, and I think those make things much more complex than having " just " metal issues. I have heard from a few people, including our homeopath, that kids who don't respond well often have parasite problems. Not sure about the truth of that, but thought I'd share anyhow. What I've learned in the last three years is that I can do everything at once. So, I worry much less about therapy than I do about biomedical. We do floortime, which costs us nothing, and has good results for us in terms of help ds become a warm, affectionate boy (at least with me). I don't find Floortime stressful, the way VB is in terms of running the program. Keep in mind I'm jsut trying to incorporate VB on my own, but it really does seem much harder for someone who is doing things alone. We need to work hard, but still pace ourselves. Last bit is that my son does seem to be getting more of a solid foundation now. He had a fever not long ago, which a year ago would have resulted in serious regression. Not this time. So, although progress isn't really visible on many levels, I do think that we're on much firmer ground now than before. If I think of things this way, things like being non-verbal still are less upsetting, if you know what I mean. Thank you - we are hoping SCD is slowly doing some good. I have massively cleaned up our environment (the teenagers complain the house smells like an old lady's house i.e p*ss and biscuits - that'll be my scd baking and vinegar for cleaning then!) We've got some water and lead testing kits coming from Mandimart, so i can see us having a MASSIVE bootsale. We were also thinking of having an allergy test done in the future. >>>>> I think you can increase the Sig with L.Rhamosus (sp) Thank you - will look into this probiotic >>>>> Doctor's Data CDSA results state Sacc B will increase it Thank you Amy - we are using this but may throw in some more! Nic too seems to be very metal toxic. Not yet sure about parasites, but i don't think this is an issue. I seem to have reached the point you mention, that you can't do everything at once and so we're easing up on the ed therapies. I just want to hang out with him while he heals. When he's ready we'll think about learning then. Suspect we'll go back to rdi on a more serious level. > Last bit is that my son does seem to be getting more of a solid > foundation now. I want him to be healthy, the other stuff is secondary at the moment (ask me next week when I've had a good night's sleep and I'll say differntly I'm sure!) Guest guest
Sandy, Thanks, yes we did have big problems with yeast 7 months ago but I can't see this anywhere on the new test results. I'll see what doc says about that. It would be too much to hope that we've got yeast under control! We did try OoO mixed in with olive oil on his feet, but it really itched so we abandoned it. This was a few moths ago so will have to consider it again - more diluted this time. Our ATEC has gone from 96 to 42 and is sticking there! I know when I see that some of you have been working tirelessly for years on your children I wonder where I'll get the strength. I hoped it would come from family and old friends, but not so! To everyone, thank you all for you kind words and help Not such a miserable Jane now xxx P.S looking forward to meeting many of you at the P2P > Hi Jane, > > He sounds quite yeasty to me. > Also Gamma Strep was really stubborn for Eddie until we used Oreganol > (the really strong oregano oil) - it went from constant 4+ to 0 and has > stayed away. Guest guest
Hi Jane, Lots and lots of vitamin A is recommended for low SiGa, use cod liver oil and I would also use either A, palmitate or acetate. Guest guest
Hi Jane Hang in there, most of us are in the same boat and fighting on. Great support from others on this list. Look forward to meeting you at P2P. Hope thinks are looking brighter today, remember we are all allowed to have our ‘off’ days. Guest guest
Hi , I'm interested in rethinking how much vitamin A - is there a protocol somewhere you'd recommend that you could point me to? Thanks :-) Sandy
