5 Mile Advanced Walk - Sansone

After my less than stellar end to last week, I started this week with

a nice cheerful workout on Monday. This is one of her newer

workouts, and the first time I've done it.

I really liked this one, and it was a nice way to begin the week on

the right foot with a good attitude. As the title says, it's a five

mile workout (65 min), but the disc menu also offers three different

3 mile workout pre-mixes. One thing I enjoyed about this one is that

for each mile and company have new outfits, and each mile

workout is different, too. So it felt like 5 mini workouts, which is

nice for my short attention span, lol. But they transition smoothly

to each other – there isn't a warm up and cool down for every mile or

anything – like mentioned about the older 5 miler.

Mile 1 starts up, and goes right into a faster pace – no long

6-8 minute slow warm up here. This mile uses weights, so I wore wrist

weights. I also wore my weighted gloves and left them on for the

entire workout, in addition to the other gadgets. Mile 2 is a fast

mile (12 min?), with some of her jogging intervals. Nice pace here,

and some new music now and then. Mile 3 uses the walk belt, but she

doesn't use it until the end of the workout. I have the walk belt,

but I don't especially like how it moves around when you use it.

When I tighten up so it doesn't move as much, it's not very

comfortable. I imagine you could use weights or a band and it would

work just as well. I might do that next time. Mile 4 is another fast

mile, but without any jogging. Mile 5 uses the pink firming band.

So, I really felt like a got a nice workout from this one! I kept my

arms moving the whole time, and the weighted gloves helped add a bit

more intensity as well. The pre-mixes contain both fast miles, and

then your choice the weights mile, walk belt mile, or firming band

mile. A nice touch. is in full form in this one,

laughing and joking with the others, a talking, talking, talking,

LOL! But, I needed the cheeriness, so it worked for me.
