Hi Everyone,

My back is still pretty messed up from my "mistake" (I figure no sense in beating myself up and calling it "stupidity" any more! :)) - so this morning I did Barbara Benagh's Yoga for Stress Relief Lower Back Tension Section - it is about a half hour of very gentle stretches for the back. My back is improving, but I think it will be another couple of days before it is "normal" (or at least back where it was before my "mistake"). It is still very tight. I though Classical Stretch would be good - but that seems to be better for me when my back is just in its normal state of tightness as opposed to this state. My chiro didn't yell at me too badly - when I get time I'm going to compile a list of exercises and discuss what is/isn't good for me. If the list is 10 pages, so be it! :) I will say that he said that no one - not even someone w/ a "healthy" back should do ab work in the manner that they do it in these

workouts (Lotte, Callan, these Exhale Workouts, etc.) (note, he didn't see the workout, I just described to him the exercise) - it is particularly bad for my condition, but it isn't great for someone w/a healthy back to do this either. It is interesting to me that he says this b/c all of these workouts are supposedly so good for your back and were created by people w/ back problems (Callan).

Hard to know what is the right thing to do - but these are deep sixed for me!

I am happy that I got a trade for Fitness Fix though! And, hopefully by the time it arrives my back will be well enough to do it.

I'm not sure what i'm doing tomorrow - depends on how my back is feeling. I'm leaning towards a TM walk and maybe this yoga section again. If my back is feeling better then maybe a Pilates session w/ the TM walk.

Take care,

Donna

Sorry to hear about your back, hopefully it will be better in a

couple days for you. I haven't been around much so didn't see your

initial post, and I haven't seen any of the dvd's that you mentioned,

but would you mind tellin me which exercises that are bad? I'm just

curious what the exercises are so I can avoid them in the future.

Thanks!

donna,

hoping 2009 is a better year for your back! it seems like you know

which workouts will be best for you. it is not a bad thing at all

just different from what you have done in the past. who knows maybe

the results of this will be the year of your best body ever:)
