Guest guest
Hi Sharon, Thanks for posting about the aloe juice and the lovely news on Tara. It is so good to hear that she is feeling much better and we'll cross fingers for you that it continues to do its magic! I'd very much like to try the aloe juice with Norman, as we like you have been struggling with reflux and poor gut motility. Norman is now been prescribed Omeprazole at 20mg twice a day for the reflux by Dr Fell but it is not making any difference. His biopsy results confirmed eosinophilic eosophagitis and in the past he had eosinophilic colitis! Anyway, Dr Fell suggests that we try dealing with the reflux to start with then look at an antiinflamatory after a few months. I'd really be grateful if you could let me know what the carb/sugars content in the juice is. This will be helpful to know before I order some as although Norman is now officially off the ketogenic diet we are keeping him on foods with a low glycemic index. Also how long did it take to see a change? best wishes, emily xx > > > > Hi Sharon, > > I have a bottle of this s Aloe Vera, how much do you use? Guest guest
Hi , Hope Norman is better after his endoscopy, perhaps in time the Omeprazole will have an effect. Things are by no means perfect here but it is helping. Here is what it says on the bottle. Serving size 8 oz.( On the bottle it says 2 oz daily for her age ) Total fat 0.48g Saturated fat 0.10 g Trans fat < 0.10 Cholesterol 0 Sodium 23.7 mg Total carbohydrate < 0.20g Dietary fibre < 0.50g Sugars < 0.24g Protein <0.24 g. I have been giving 10-15 mls 3 x day after meals, may try 30 mls 2 x day. Hope this helps. Sharon.xx > > > > > > Hi Sharon, > > > I have a bottle of this s Aloe Vera, how much do you use? Guest guest
Hi Sharon I am so thrilled for you and Katy. We too use Aloe Vera but thestuff from Boots and we give it morning and evening with probios. I think has had a better gut since we been with which is about 4 months. This was one thing she introduced. The stuff I get is not SCD leagal but we still use it. The s stuff is probably better cos its distilled and looks clear, does that make sense, not very scientific I know!! How much is the s stuff including tax etc and who do u get it from? Mandi gave me this bottle she is a lovely, int she!! Luv Caz xx PS Do u think teh s stuff is SCD OK?
Guest guest
Hi Caroline, I think it's just touching the tip of an iceberg, you know how excited I get if I find something that helps and doesn't have an awful reaction. She still can't handle probiotics or magnesium, lots of stuff really. She has been a bit better over the past couple of months,I've removed rice and supplements I thought where irritating her, also I think the homeopathy is helping, although we are getting bloating and pain after these remedies have been given this week. There has been a change ,it feels like some of the inflammation has been reduced in her body and she is now quite specific on where she hurts, central part of her tummy, throat and chest which comes on after food /anything really ingested. This gradually gets worse towards the end of the day. I'm trying to indroduce gradually more SCD foods,Chicken broth was a big No from her ,but managed to get 2 tablespoons down her.If you have any nice ideas for snacks etc I'd wellcome them. We are still waiting on Dr Balzola's view on her GOSH endoscopy slides,I don't know how long this takes,it has been 3 months now. The postage for the 's is very expensive 1/2 gallon cost about 20 pounds, about 5 for the Aloe and 15 for the postage. I got it from iherb.com. I'm not sure if it's SCD legal, have a vague memory Aloe is'nt allowed but could be wrong. I'm so happy 's tummy is improving.Have you started the presciption anti inflammatories and if so how do you find them. We are still feeling up beat we'll get there in the end, just need her gut properly looked at and treated then we can move onto all the other stuff. Take care , Love Sharon. > > Hi Sharon > I am so thrilled for you and Katy. We too use Aloe Vera but thestuff from > Boots and we give it morning and evening with probios.
