My NT daughter has a sore infected big toe ,just near the nail quick. She has already had a course of antibiotics which helped when she was taking them, but it has now come back.looking very inflammed.I've been putting on 25+ Manuka honey for the past few days and soaking her foot in warm salted water.Does anyone have any other suggestions please ?

Gosh ! that must have been awful, sorry to hear that.

-We have an appt tomorrow ,just wanted to try some naturals to see

if we could avoid further antibiotics. At the moment the infection

appears quite localised but I will keep a close eye on her.

Thanks ,

Sharon.

Yes, it was quite frightening. I didn't go to the doctor for the first

few days because I try to ignore everything and see if it goes. I think

I made his day because I went to a saturday emergency surgery along with

children with sniffles and I was a genuine emergency. I'm sure your

daughter will be OK. I had a red line from the infection running up my

leg ( " Thats the infection spreading " said the doctor wisely " Its the

sort of thing that before antibiotics might, you know, have carried you

off " ) and about 6 hours after starting the antibiotics I came out in a

scepticaemia rash. But it went away and I was OK (apart from the brain

damage of course). So the signs are quite definite if you are looking

for them
