I didn't go to the doctor for the first few days because I try to ignore everything and see if it goes. I think I made his day because I went to a saturday emergency surgery along with children with sniffles and I was a genuine emergency. I'm sure your daughter will be OK. I had a red line from the infection running up my leg ( " Thats the infection spreading " said the doctor wisely " Its the sort of thing that before antibiotics might, you know, have carried you off " ) and about 6 hours after starting the antibiotics I came out in a scepticaemia rash. But it went away and I was OK (apart from the brain damage of course).
