Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Yahoo is finally behaving better so I'm able to post w'out great frustration!! Anyway, today's workout was a 4 mile (my personal TM record in terms of distance) walk on the TM, which I completed in around 45 minutes. I mostly walked, but I did a few cycles of jogging intervals at 6 mph - which feels a bit slow for me, but seems to work better for my posture and back. I am a former runner, so I think that is why I'm used to a faster pace. Speaking of m back, I had to miss my chiro appointment today b/c DD was sick and I"m feeling no ill effects at all. I've really been focusing on my posture and stretching/counter-stretching and I"m holding up pretty well. I'm hoping to be able to introduce some different workouts in soon to see how I tolerate them. I'm not sure if I should go for strength first or cardio workouts. If I go for strength I'm sticking w/ super basic ones, cardio I may experiment with different low impact options and maybe some slower paced step. We'll see how it goes. Like I keep saying, I'm just happy to be able to do what I can. Oh, I did do some basic stretching on my own after the TM - hip flexors, outer hip, hamstring, low back, etc. I held each stretch for a count of 30. Since I used the TM today, I'll probably do tomorrow and some Pilates. - I would say generally I'm working at a lower end of my HR these days and I do feel that I'm developing more stamina. I read your review of your fitness eval and I'm impressed!! I haven't had time to post a reply (and when I did, Yahoo was misbehaving!) I also have to say that working out at this lower end gives me loads more energy. I still spice up my walks on the TM w/ some running intervals though every once in awhile. Oh well - off to try to get some sleep and hope that DD has a good night. Speaking of which, Darcy, I'm glad Bryar is doing better. I also posted back to you about that, but, of course,.....Yahoo! Take care!Donna
