morning all, yesterday i did finish the CIA 2002 workout. as i said greg lead a 10 min warm up pretty simple to follow with some light stretching. andre houle's 20-22 min hi-lo program also easy to follow(the trickest move was a turn) but pretty intense with it being more HIGH then LOW. the next program with linda redding would have been a great pylometric type workout except she didn't mirror her cues NOR cued that well. its a shorter 20 min segment but i will have to watch it before partaking again b/c i need an idea of what is coming up b/c she just shouts it own like squat thrust- she was doing the push ups by the time she explained her combo for squat thrusts. she calls this power moves instead of pylometrics b/c pylometrics are different then what she was aiming for here. whatever its pylometrics with hi-lo who are you kidding. the next is

step with jon giswold. another easier to follow step routine(no cathe flying angels or turn pivots really here) but my only issue was during some straddle steps combined with turn stepping i kept getting my legs mixed up. it was just fast paced sure i actually previewed the workout i would have gotten it right but i figured as long i was moving and not tripping over the step it wasn' t a big deal. even mistakes burn calories. greg is back with a choreographed cool down with some stretching and valentin swegle finishes us off with 20 min of ballet movements and some stretching. not much focus on quad stretching so i did some more on my own. cheesy background, cheesy clothes, but ah the freestyle club music of memories past LOL. i hope to NEVER see greg in the loose fitting tank top tucked into neon green tight spandex shorts LOL. and THANK GOD he got rid of that puffy haired mullet do. but the workouts show the routines stand the test of time. the

hi-lo workouts were very similar to some karen voight cardios especially since the trickiest moves were with the arms while the intensity was in the legs. this morning i did a les mill program with body balance 37 which is a fusion like program with mostly yoga but they do a big of core and back work as well as a tai chi type warm up. i believe there were 11 "track" and each track not only brings a different song(some classical some modern easy listening)and also a different focus. IIRC a john mayer song was for either the core work or the twists. its a nice mix of tai chi/breathing warm up followed with sun salutations, which should have been follow with leg strengthening but my copy skipped a bit and missed this track. no problems b/c that is all missed. then its onto balance moves, hip openers, core work, back work, twists, 2 tracks of hamstring focused stretching, and a very long meditative savasana trackall moves are typical easy to

follow, easy to modify exercises seen in yoga workouts. aside from the accents of the two male trainers it was easy to follow the cues. the female lead was very clear and very encouraging on just relaxing with breath. the hip openers and hamstring focused stretches(which also somehow got a little hip to thank you!!) were a welcomed delight this morning as with the cardio yesterday and the laundry, i was just stressed, tired, and tight. i feel so much better now!!! previewing some other les mill programs i happen to been lucky to receive from a friend, i see alot of focus on core work. whether it be hi-lo type cardio, body combat MMA type workout, even body step they all have core work and they all emphasize the importance of strong core in fitness. i couldn't agree with this point of view more! sometimes easier said then done on fitting it in but no excuse for all the workouts i have that i couldn't fit in even 5-10 min every other day.

off to bank, i need to borrow some $$ from my savings. some jackass stole gas out of dh's van so my mom bought us gas lock and i have to pay her back, plus i have camping this weekend i need supplies, monster energy drink low carb and no sugar added juice blends of course and plenty of clif bars for snacking. its going to be a hot one and although not "clean" they do pack vitamins along with plenty of water to hydrate!. i suggested water sports theme and all agreed LOL. have a great daykassia ldy_solana's domainScouting for All Too many people spend money they haven't earned to buy things they don¢t want to impress people they don¢t like.-Will

I am so jealous! how did you get your hands on Les Mills? Is your

friend an instructor? As far as I know they only way in the US to

get a hold of these is to be an instructor for a Les Mills approved

site. They are the ones that do bodpump which I loved taking...I've

also been wanting to do bodyflow, which is a yoga, pilates, tai chi

combo which sound like the one that you did.
