Guest guest
Hi , Well, I'm probably not much help, since I'm SOOOO step challenged and consider Cathe's Basic Step " advanced " LOL! I guess I would try to decide if I wanted to add another stretching video or another cardio video to my collection. Do you have FitTv? If so, I know a that a few of Cathe's stretch workouts are shown regularly on FitTv, so that might an option. Here are some revies on Low Impact Step that may be helpful: http://www.videofitness.com/reviews/friedrich-lis-tbs.php Good luck! Sara > > I've got a chance to get this in a trade or I can get Cathe's Stretch Max or her Total Body Stretching and I'm trying to choose which one I want most. I can see from the clips that I'll have some choreography to conquer in Low Impact Step but it doesn't look too difficult and that's my dilemma. Once I get the choreography down will this workout (classified as beginner/intermediate) be enough for me? Please give me your opinions or if you think I'd be happier with one of the other choices. Thanks!!! > > >
Guest guest
Hi Sara! I have pretty much mastered Basic Step though I still get a bit flustered on some of the moves (I mess up rocking horse and around the world on a regular basis). Even with an 8" step though it just isn't challenging enough intensity-wise for me. I don't mind higher impact moves but know I'm not ready for her more advanced step videos especially because of the choreography so I'm thinking this might help me move towards that direction which I'm slightly inclined to want to go. I think that's the problem. I want more challenging step videos than Basic Step and Kari 's Go but I also don't want to feel totally defeated during the warm-up and I don't want to get bored after doing it a few times. I do have Kathy 's and haven't done that in a while but I think I remember last time I did it that most of it wasn't quite "enough." I do have a lot of yoga and a few stretch videos though Stretch Max looks especially good... I think I'm leaning toward taking Low Impact Step. If it doesn't work for me I guess I can always trade it away later. Thanks for listening to my internal dialog anyway!!! :-) No FitTv here. Darn. Will go read the reviews and make up my mind... thanks!! Re: Cathe's Low Impact Step? Guest guest
Hi Carolyn! I did get the LIS dvd and your comments helped me decide. I appreciate the fact that you noted it was done on the smaller step too. I have one of those (and a club size step, got them both at yard sales). It will be fun to use it with a workout it was designed for instead of trying to do full size step workouts on it like I was doing until I found the club step. I traded for 5 Mile Advanced. Yep, the one I was babbling about the other day. I found the listing on VF, offered her the which she had in her wants and she accepted so I am THRILLED! We both sent ours off today. That was my first VF trade. Trading was even more fun than ebay because I only spent money for postage! Thanks again!heh heh.... i was going to respond to your question here, but when you got the link to VF, i just let you read my comments there. personally, i think that you should get the LIS dvd instead of total body stretching or stretch max. i dont know what you are trading away, but i expect that the LIS dvd is a much better deal.:*carolyn. Guest guest
Wow, I didn't realize that Carolyn was a world famous exercise video reviewer! LOL! I should have known...
