Guest guest
Tough going situationally during C3. Very sucky C3 if I'm being honest. Anyway, why is it that I know how great I feel exercising and eating right and yet every day I try to reign myself back in and eat a great breakfast then by lunch time, I'll get a phone call or some stupid anxiety-provoking life event and I reach for the cheez-its? Gained 3 lb. back and trying to get back on the wagon daily, strong til after breakfast. ugggh. Mentally I'm having a hard time exercising regularly so I'm trying one step at a time and trying to get my eating under control again first. I read somewhere that nutrition is 80% of your results - someone please tell me this is true? I'm hoping if I can get the eating under control to get rid of the carb/sodium bloat and that will motivate me to make the sporadic work outs a little more meaningful. I wish I had that part of my brain that those people who can still think about nutrition and work outs have, even when there's one sh*tty life event after another! Guest guest
Instead of munching on cheez-its, buy some Sun Chips (I like the salsa garden), almonds or cashews, or chew on some gum. The gum really helps me. If yo snack on the right things, you won't get the weight gain. The right carbs will not make you gain weight, (old fashioned oats (instand oatmeal has too much sodium), whole wheat, grains, low fat yogurt, wheat pasta, brown rice, corn, some other veggies are carbs) Take in less sodium and drink more water to avoid bloating. --- Why or why??? Guest guest
I had the hardest time getting started on my second challenge. What helps me is this. (I hate it but I do it.) 1. plan my food for the week. 2. buy and prepare my food. 3. DO NOT buy anything not on my food plan. every morning, pack my approved food for 4-5 meals to bring with me wherever I'm going. If you are full of egg and potato or oatmeal and protein powder, you don't feel like grabbing something else. 4. If you have a snack habit, linked to anxiety, change it to a healthier habit. I.e. I smoked, so I substituted dum dum suckers. Finally I didn't need the suckers. If you eat cheexits, think of a way to make healthier alternatives. (toasted sliced pita bread?, oatmeal? with the spices, carrots and celery?) If you crave chocolate, find a chocolate protein powder substitute that you like and make oatmeal bars, smoothie, etc.) 5. DRINK. If you hate the taste of water, flavor it, add a tea bag, a lemon slice, etc. Now what I'm working on is getting food/plans together for 5 days on the road/in hotels. Guest guest
Shiela if u drive for your time on the road make and freeze stuff up ahead of time and then make sure u have a fridge at your hotel u stay at. My parents do this all the time. They were on BFL strictly and they did this. Now they are loose on it and gaining back the weight. : ( I try and encourage them to get going again! sarah > > > Tough going situationally during C3. Very sucky C3 if I'm being > > honest. Guest guest
I'm flying, and will only have a carryon for 5 days. I'm the girl that took 10 pairs of shoes on a 5 day cruise and wore them all. So this is creative packing to say the least. I had an ideal list and I'm not sure what I did with it, but it will be a lot of the same I eat at home, oatmeal, protein powder, that sort of thing. Maybe some bars. Guest guest
I hate going to the store, I'm probably going to do fruit, oatmeal, protein powder, peanut butter and that sort of thing. (hope pb isn't considered a gel.) > Yeah im sure u will find a way and do great! HMM to bad there isnt a > small blender or something in hotel rooms.
