Guest guest Posted August 6, 2008 Report Share Posted August 6, 2008 OMG! It's freaking hot here! I went out to the store this afternoon and looked at the thermometer outside before I left. It said 109! Tonight after my second workout of the day I checked it again and it was 99--at 9:30 at night! No wonder I feel like I'm sweating to death while working out. An AC unit will generally only get a house about 20 degrees colder then the outside temperature, so I was working out in an 80 degree room! UGH! Anyway, this morning when I got up, I did All Star Workouts Endurance Cardio & Sculpt with Kendall Hogan. This is an okay workout. While I was sweating to death, I still didn't feel worked out. It is a mix of cardio drills and weights. It is high rep, so maybe I just went too low in weight thinking I didn't want to go too heavy for the high reps. I don't know, but I just wasn't feeling it this morning. This evening, I popped in Yoga Booty Ballet Sculpt. This workout is 53 minutes and starts with a yoga affirmation, goes into a mix of ballet moves with weight moves (Like plie's with shoulder presses), then ends with a hatha yoga session. Although, in this heat, I may have been doing it as Bakram Yoga...LOL. I love the YBB workouts, but it was just too hot to really enjoy this one tonight. I had planned to do a couple of others today too, but not in this heat. Maybe I can get up earlier tomorrow before it gets too hot to get a long workout in so I can squeeze in more.
