Guest guest
I don't follow golf but my DH does a bit and got to go there a few years ago with a friend who had tickets. Very cool. I'd say having a 40 lb. kid on your back counts as a workout too! :-) (who knows the area around Oakland Hills well and is very glad to not be dealing with the tournament traffic!) PGA Oakland HIlls workout. Don't know if anyone here follows golf, but my workout for today consisted of giving my near 40lb son a piggyback ride during most of the walking around at the golf course today and got to see a few pros tee off and putt. Planning on doing some yoga later tonight.
Guest guest
Traffic out there is bad enough without having to deal with tournament traffic! We're not that far from there, it's just the traffic getting in that area that is a pain, not many good ways to get from Romeo area to that side of town. How about Woodward dream cruise...do you have to deal much with that since that is right around the corner...I know my boys would love to see the cars, but it's really not worth it for me. Romeo's Peach festival is coming up soon and I think they have a parade of cars that will do us just fine. I don't really understand all the hype with the dream cruise... > > I don't follow golf but my DH does a bit and got to go there a few years ago with a friend who had tickets. Very cool. Guest guest
I don't live around there anymore, I'm out near Brighton now, but my step-sister lives just off Woodward and she says it is totally insane at Dream Cruise time. I really like cars and my DH and son do too but it still isn't worth it to us driving all the way down there just to watch cars drive down the road with over a million of our best friends, no matter how cool the cars are. There are cruises around here too (obviously much smaller) and we see the cars go by, that's good enough for me!
