So far, so good! My first morning in Kauai consisted of:1) Carribean Workout with Mac - Aerobics dvd, Low Impact Aerobics workout. This workout was around 30 minutes, and a wonderful floor routine! has impeccable cueing, my only critique is that you can clearly experience where the commericial breaks from this workut tv show are, but I was able to jump back in, no problem! I really liked this workout a lot because the bpm were high while the moves were simple, so I was able to get a great sweat and not trip over myself! The moves were a grapevine, some hamstring curls, chasses, knee lifts, jumping jacks, repeater knees. 's two cohorts are also fun, and you can tell these three are friends having fun working out together IN BARBADOS, so of course being on vacation in Kauai I could relate to the sun and palm trees! You finish the aerobics workout with a series of lunges - front, side, back, side, front a bunch of times, repeat on other leg.

2) Pilates Complete for Every One: from the beginning section I did the instructional workout I think it was called, and I picked it because it was the longest, 15 minutes. While only 15 minutes long, there was a lot in there and I could feel my core engaged throughout! You do the usual - the hundred, the saw, rolling like a ball, leg circles, criss crosses, roll ups, single and double leg stretches/lifts, etc.

3) Yoga Complete for Every Body: from the beginners section, Practice for the Spine. My lower back has been tight lately and just on general prinicples this is an important practice to do on a regular basis. There are lots and lots of spinal twists, seated, supine, supta padangustasana where you lay down and take one leg out to the side, then again but over and across the body (always gets an " ow " out of me!) and there was a lower back portion too with a cobra series and lower bac exercises. I skipped the magic band shavasana meditation in favor of just hanging in ragdoll to further relase the lower back. This was 50 minutes long.

Now, off for a swim in the pool! Hope everyone is having a great day of fitness!
