Guest guest
I just finished The Kettlebell Way, and I feel FANTASTIC! I love it. It so wipes me out. I did drop to my 18 lb kettlebell for a couple of the workouts that involved a lot of back. My back feels normal, other than being a bit tight, but I don't want to push it. Anyway, I forgot to start my HRM until after the first two exercises, so it wasn't entirely accurate. It said I burned 477 calories, with a max of 172, and an average of 134. Oh, yesterday I did HSC 3. I had a pretty good workout, but a lot of interruptions. That's a long one. I did it all, minus the power-ups which I didn't even know were on there. I was already cooled down when I seen them, and wiped out so I was not about to give them a go. Anyway, I burned 1190 calories yesterday. HOWEVER, I left it on for awhile, and I think it got shut off at like an hour an 45 minutes. I was actually working out about and hour and 25 minutes, I believe (counting ab work). I am feeling good again. I don't know why it takes me so long to resume to " normal " after a few days off..GRR.. annoying!Update on Bryar is that he's doing great, but he's requiring so much sleep. He took a 4-hour nap the other day. My stomache was sick the whole time, I thought for sure he was sick again..ugh... I even called the doctor while he was sleeping. On Saturday afternoon, he fell asleep at 5:00 p.m. and slept until 6:30 the next morning! Then yesterday, he fell asleep at 11:30 in church for a 2-hour nap.... Was then ready for bed at 8:30 last night. It must just be his body trying to get back on track. Wow though. What an illness! Today, I am off to take Sawyer to the dentist, he has to get work done on 3 teeth, just surface cavities. I'm nervous though, he's never had work done before, he did awesome at the check-up though, and he's excited. Hopefully it goes as good as he thinks it's going to go..LOL.. I'll be taking the younger two with me and just staying in the waiting room - yikes. Darcy
Guest guest
Hi Darcy, Yay! Great workouts! Sorry to hear about the food incident, heh. I suspect it may have all evened out in the end - with all of your high intensity workouts. Can you just do a day or two of light cardio instead of taking a full rest day? Maybe that will keep your momentum going? Just a thought. Glad to hear Bryar is doing better! Good luck at the dentist - yikes! Speaking of kettlebells, are the workouts low-ceiling friendly? I know only a little bit about the workouts, but moves that are called windmills, etc make me think I need to have enough clearance to be able to swing my arm (holding the bell) all the way around, above my head. Is that true? I actually found The Iron Core Way, vol 2 at goodwill - so know I'm pretty curious/interested. lol TIA! Sara > > I just finished The Kettlebell Way, and I feel FANTASTIC! I love it.
