This seems to be talking about selenium as if it would counteract

mercury that you were taking in right now...ie in the fish or in your

current food environment. It is said to bind this.

These people are funded by the restaurant and food production industry,

not a reliable source of credible scientific information about mercury

and risks from mercury in the food chain.

Selenium has benefits. It is not a chelator. As Mandi says, there are

contra-indications also.
