Guest guest
Glad you got a good diagnosis - H. Pylori is more common and the antibiotic treatment generally works - yea! I on the other hand have to schedule a hysterectomy in Feb or June depending on if we can shrink my fibroids in less than a year they grew 3X so they are worried about doing any surgery right now. I have to go on Lupron which has terrible side effects but I am using this as a double kick in the butt to eat better and exercise more as less fat makes surgery easier. So 3 months to a better less painful me! judy s in MD fyi - did Jillian's 30 day shred level 1 - I love this workout. going to work dogs (basically doing sprints) later tonight j To: exercisevideos ; CatheFans Sent: Saturday, November 22, 2008 1:05:05 PMSubject: Finally back at it Well, the doctor has finally cleared me to exercise again. She did all kinds of tests, multiple ultrasounds (to make sure the cysts and fibroids weren't growing) and a CT scan (you don't want to know where the Triple Contrast goes in! UGH!) and determined that my cysts and fibroids are too small to be causing my pain, there is nothing wrong with my gallbladder, apendix, heart, aorta, intestines, etc. (Yeah, she checked everything!) , and has narrowed it down to a bacteria. Thats right a bacteria is causing all this pain! It's called H. Pylori and is believed to be the major contributor to ulcers and also an increased risk of stomach cancer. So, she's put me on 2 antibiotics, Pepcid, Peptobismol, and Miralax, and said I have to take them for 2 weeks and I should be fine. Amazingly, I'm feeling better already. The side effects of the meds aren't that bad, so she said I could workout because she's no longer worried about it causing something to rupture. I've already done one workout today, but I'm not done with what all I'm going to do, so I'll post my workouts later. But while I'm alternating between exercise and homework, I had to hop online and check in with all of you and try to catch up on email. Yeah, I admit, I skipped a bunch and hit delete. There's just no way I can catch up and still prepare for the two tests I have Monday and write a paper while sneaking in exercise in between. If I missed anything major, please catch me up. Okay, back to statistics.. .ugh! Tonya
