Guest guest
I may just consider journaling, too. I haven't been doing very well on the food wagon these days - too much junk - doesn't help that it is the holiday season, that's for sure! Take care, Sorry you hurt your foot - Donna Subject: hugs re: the foot / my foot + food intakeTo: exercisevideos Date: Wednesday, December 10, 2008, 4:51 PM Hugs! I'm in the same boat, ! I hurt my foot somehowyesterday and wasn't able to make it to hip hop. Ug! Tonite I willsee if I can do a and some pilates as a workaround. Tomorrow I'm doing back and core at the gym with my friend ,which will be foot friendly. I started to journal my food today too. I haven't been eating well,as today's log below will illustrate. I can say with some certitudethat I'm no longer vegan or even vegetarian. After 12 years of beingvegetarian and 1.5 years of being a vegan I'm officially taking abreak for awhile. I feel guilty about this and send a thought of thanks to the pooranimal that gave its life for me to eat it, but I still feel bad. Iadmit the tuna fish sammy I had for breakfast tasted pretty goodthough. So far today I've consumed:calories fat item111 3 breakfast bar198 12 6" tuna sammy from Subway w/veggies40 3.5 w/cheese68 0 4 pieces candy290 12 ramen bowl330 3 lots of pretzels340 0 more candy :(I went to one of my favorite Asian grocery stores last night which canbe fatal. The candy I ate are these delectable Japanese gummy candythings. You can't stop at just one..This has been a good exercise. It's only 1:30 pm and I'm up to 1377calories and 33.5 grams of fat for the day! Yikes! Tonite I'll havea big salad w/a few squirts of that salad dressing that's 1 cal perspray with some tofu. It's good to have an objective view of what you eat. I see at aglance just how much I crave salt and carbs. The good news is the day isn't done, and if I do stick to the bigsalad and have a couple of mandarin oranges I shouldn't go too faroverboard. And tomorrow is a new day. I plan on journaling my food for awhiletil my portions decrease and I make better choices again.
Guest guest
, Your honesty is refreshingly wonderful! I know you will be successful in time! Guest guest
Tis the season to get back to journaling!! WW's new plan, which we're introducing this week, puts a very strong emphasis on tracking because it helps you to become much more aware of what you are doing (like 's post clearly shows). I "fell off the wagon" for a few weeks when DH was laid off and then sick and am paying for it with a return to not so great habits and 3 pounds extra weight! So... I'm journaling too! :-) hugs re: the foot / my foot + food intakeTo: exercisevideos Date: Wednesday, December 10, 2008, 4:51 PM Hugs! I'm in the same boat, ! Guest guest
Hi ,Is your foot better today? Mine seems to move more normally, but I'm going to choose a no-impact workout this morning. It's great that you're logging your food. I have been logging at CalorieKing.com. I like it because I can access it on my blackberry and enter foods wherever I am. Good luck with that. It's definitely good to be very aware of what you're eating. Nothing like a reality check! Whenever I'm logging my food faithfully, I'm less likely to eat crappy stuff. I just don't like seeing it on that list, and I don't like seeing the nutrient counts, LOL. Whenever I've stopped journalling, my food intake ALWAYS starts to take a hit, and so does my waistline. Good luck!!!< a vegan, BTW> Hugs! I'm in the same boat, ! I hurt my foot somehow yesterday and wasn't able to make it to hip hop. Ug! Tonite I will see if I can do a and some pilates as a workaround.
