Guest guest
he is also taking ala with his dmsa for the first time this week and i notice that its only given around the three days of chelation with DMSA, what is the reason for that? again, any contra-indications greatly appreciated. good ideas for administering these two goodies? >>How much and how often are you giving the ALA and the DMSA? Guest guest
Personally, I only really ever used Dr Heard as someone to prescribe the stuff that Muscroft (DAN! nutritionist ) recommended but couldn’t prescribe herself. It was good to have a 2nd opinion too. So I’ll be able to continue doing that as long as any dr. continues to prescribe what we want. This would work with a couple of other practitioners out there – Mandi recommended a few the other day that can’t prescribe. It would also work if you could work stuff out for yourself (I can’t). if you wanted a dr. that could guide you properly as well then I wouldn’t like the idea of them not having done DAN! before and not attending conferences, etc. SARA -----Original Message----- From: Autism-Biomedical-Europe [mailto:Autism-Biomedical-Europe ] On Behalf Of wade8824 Sent: 21 January 2008 18:13 To: Autism-Biomedical-Europe Subject: Dr Heard I have been seeing Dr Heard since the summer last year with my 6 year old. He has done very well with correction of lots of amino acids and his socialisation has improved massively. we are currently trialling vitamin B12 injections and had planned to begin chelation after this. The announcement of Dr Heards retirement has upset the apple-cart somewhat and i feel it is going to be very difficult to continue. What I have found out from Breakspear is that it is possible that Munro and Dr keogh may register themselves as DAN! doctors and then continue with the treatments. How does this work as I am told by reception that they just do this and receive no training of any length? As parents, how do we decide whether we wish to continue with these people or not and what are our other options? I know I will not be the only parent who is in this position. Any help gratefully received.

Guest guest
giving the DMSA 3 nights out of every 14, he has been doing that for over a year. ala is given on the same days as dmsa, 3 times a day with meals. only started that this week. >>I forgot what the question is now but I strongly disagree with the dosing schedule as I feel its inefficient and has the potential to create redistribution of metals. Dr Heard knows all about the safer schedule we use and why....... Mandi x
