Ahh.. well, I know Polar doesn't guarantee them if you change the battery yourself. Not sure if that would void the warranty or what-not if a jeweler did it or not?? I paid like $75 for both of mine to get totaly repaired not too long ago..GRRR... (a strap was replaced too)

Oh I didn't think to ask; I'll mostly be using it just at the gym, but

I do like to run and it does rain a lot here!
