Guest guest
My back was still bugging me today but not too badly so I took some ibuprofen and got to doing my workout. I did 3 workouts from 10 Minute Solution Carb Burner ( Dozois). I did the first one (steady state cardio), the one with plyometrics and the bootcamp one. I haven't done the bootcamp workout in quite a while and I'm not sure why not, it is tough but really good! I loved the challenge of it and need to do it again more often. I especially wanted to see how my feet would feel with the plyo because I got new orthotics for my shoes last week and am seeing the foot doctor again Thursday so I wanted to try them under all my various kinds of workouts. They seem good! I followed this with 30 minutes of yoga (I only wanted a 1 hour workout today) from Yoga Complete for Every Body. I did the general standing routine from the beginner menu, 30 minutes or more I think. It starts with what I've seen so far as the only really bad routine on the disc, sun salutes with the voice over completely out of sync with the action on screen plus the voice over goes so fast you can't hardly keep up, better to follow her on screen. It goes into moon salutes afterwards. I've done those once in a class a long time ago so it was interesting to do that again. There were also standing forward bends with feet together and wide apart, warrior 1 & 2, heroes pose and others. It does a little bit on the floor to get you transitioned to savasanah, including bridge which I found really difficult today (and often do). It was a very interesting and enjoyable practice and I felt much more stretched than I did when I started. I haven't done a lot of yoga or stretching lately and was pleased to find my range of motion wasn't bad at all. I'm home today doing housework max and other things then I'm taking my daughter to the University of Michigan for a child development study she was asked to take part in (she and my son were part of it when they were babies and apparently they need 7 year olds now). We're going today, next Monday and then have to schedule one more visit. I think we'll get a small payment for it but it is interesting to be involved in things like this anyway. All of us try to take part in research studies when we can (and as long as there aren't significant risks). Maybe I can be in one studying women over 40 who exercise regularly some day?! :-) Tomorrow I'm working and doing other things the entire day (from 6:30 AM till at least 6:00 PM) so no workout planned but I do have my fitness evaluation so I'll count that as some exercise. Will report tomorrow night on how it goes!
