Guest guest
I am 13 weeks pregnant and since my CMT was " brought on " by my first pregnancy, I am obviously a little concerned about this 2nd pregnancy exacerbating my CMT. My question is this: It has only been a little over 2 years since I was initially diagnosed with CMT1C. Mine has progressed rapidly, and I have " stork " legs from the knees down...not cute! The past couple of days, I have had a lot of pain down the front of both of my legs. I think that it is the type of pain that I had when my muscles first began to start atrophying. I am now worried that what little muscle I might have left, is atrophying with this pregnancy. On both days, I was on my feet all day, so I am hoping that might be the reason, but I just wondered if any of you have experienced this? Also, I have AFOs, but my vanity will not allow me to wear them yet:) Because I am so clumsy, I am always running into things and bruising my legs. Also, the bone on the front of my legs is so prominent, that it gets bruised a lot. Are there any padded socks or guards for your legs that you can wear under your jeans that are comfy too? Thank you! Amy
